I've decided to just stop paying attention to the news. The Deep State's war on Trump and the American people has reached a fever pitch. I don't think it will be possible to stop the Socialists from completing the coup they've been planning all along. They will cheat and lie at every turn and have weaponized practically every element of the US government. I'm done.

They won't win on impeachment, they'll cover themselves in sh*t in trying to do so, and they'll get hammered in 2020.

I agree with Lucius that the Deep State has reached a fever pitch. The level of crazy is at heights I don't ever remember. But I agree with OR they are way over reaching. I mean Schifftless reading a false transcript of the Ukraine call and then claiming it was parody? That's gotta' have an effect.

Reply to lucius septimius in 1: Paying less attention to the news is definitely better for one's mental health. I do not believe the Left is going to win this time. I had a conversation last night with my friend the retired political scientist, whose specialty is presidential history. He's a Democrat of the old school. He noted that the only thing that makes our Constitution work is the general agreement on its authority. The Democrats have been chipping away at that consensus for decades, and here we are with threats to impeach the president over an anonymous hearsay allegation. People understand how serious that is and two-thirds of them do not support impeachment. Pelosi knows this, and most of the representatives know this, especially the ones who serve red or purple districts. My guess is she's allowing six different committees to pursue inquiries as a dividing tactic. They all want credit, especially Skippy Schiff, and they will never come up with articles of impeachment that everyone can agree on. There will be a lot of noise but no vote.

Church of Sweden declares Greta Thunberg "Successor of Christ." And they claim that "Global Warming Climate Change Disruption Crisis" is not a religion.

In #10 lucius septimius said: Church of Sweden declares Greta Thunberg "Successor of Christ." Does that mean she'll die and absorb all our carbon dioxide, saving the world?////// Or do they think she's going to be crucified on an oil well? She is, however, being psychologically crucified on a windmill, sort of.

Reply to lucius septimius in 10: The people I had dinner with last night attended a wedding recently where the bride and groom and all their friends were pretty hard left Democrats. How hard left? Their vows quoted Obama. I asked if the bride left her bouquet in front of the statue of St.Greta.

Reply to Kosh's Shadow in 15: - Actually, as a friend of mine pointed out today, her story reads VERY much like those of female saints, in particular the very young ones. It's a cultural trope.
