A rather blustery day outside today. The keep is peaceful though, which is nice for once. Have a couple projects that need to be done and they're all indoor ones. Will be getting started once the coffee kicks in.

Good morning all. Heading out to brunch because my future step daughter wants me to meet her boyfriend. Should be an interesting day.

The picture reminds me of this:
Breakfast with Air Force officers and the General's wife eating:
(The General): "Honey and men- I have something awesome to reveal to you."
(The Colonel): "Well, go ahead, sir."
(General's Wife): "Go ahead."
(The General): "Two flying saucers have just landed on my plate."
(Long moment of silence)
(The Colonel): "Well, turn away sir- I'll eat them."
(Nervous laughter)
(Sound of a spoon repeatedly striking a water glass)
(The General): "Men- our greatest fear is realized- we are under attack from superior consciousness."
Many of them just voted for Joe Biden because said establishment has spent four years saying Donald Trump is an Orange Hitler and a threat to democracy.

It's an interesting inversion on how the Nazis came to power. Various center-right groups threw in their lot with Hitler because they were afraid of the Reds. The ended up with a far more radical agenda than they had signed on for.
Meanwhile, one wonders whether, once Biden/Harris is secure in office, we will have our own Night of the Long Knives.

The Dems (AOC and Obama staffers) already have a retribution organization gunning for Trump supporters.
They'll probably appease BLM and Antifa instead of going after them, as they are too useful.

I had to refer to wiki to understand the reference. It was also called operation hummingbird and yes there are frightening parallels should Biden and Harris consolidate power. I wouldn’t anticipate blatant murder of the Republican opposition but I would anticipate them turning a blind eye to coordinated physical aggressions against us, such as demonstrated here by BLM thugs. Also I would anticipate the media to remain largely silent about the aggression, either that or build the story that the violence is somehow justified, for instance as occurring to white supremacy groups. I’m convinced Biden/Harris will seek some type of retribution, they won’t be satisfied at simply winning ... they will seek to “eliminate” or “weaken” their political opposition by any underhanded means they can possibly get away with. The left has already compiled lists of conservative groups and individuals to “target”, Biden and Harris would give it tacit approval no doubt in my mind.

I disagree -- they represent an alternative power base. At some point they will suppress them in the name of "public order."

After they have eliminated Republicans as anything other than a sham "opposition" party, to appear we still have the right to vote, but there will only be subservient candidates, kind of like we had until Trump.

The key point of the Night of the Long Knives, though, was that it involved the suppression of elements within the Nazi organization. The SA had been the muscle behind the party (much like Antifa now), but it's leadership had a far more radical socialist agenda than Hitler was willing to embrace, mainly because it would alienate his supporters in the center-right coalition. In addition, the army demanded the suppression of the SA. Hitler was more than willing to sacrifice his old cronies because they were now and embarrassment and a potential threat to his power.
Afterwards, Hitler suppressed the old parties, uniting them together under the banner of Gleichschaltung. Meanwhile, the SS grew and replaced the SA as the violent arm of the party. In the short term suppression of the street fighters was necessary to secure Hitler's power; once secure he could proceed with his own radical agenda.

They'll keep them around as a sham party for some time -- the RINOs are already down with that.

I think this retribution squad will work on destroying lives of any conservatives. It will be the so-called "Cancel Culture" writ large, and with tacit government support. They won't go so far as to appoint a Secretary of the Inquisition, but they'll go further than Obama ever did.
Contribute to the Republicans? Be prepared for tax audits, roadblocks getting approval for anything, and eventually (should they ever get complete control of Congress), things like no government money (including Social Security) if you espouse heretical opinions. This started under Obama, with actually delaying and preventing tax registration as tax-exempt for organizations that disagreed with the Obama position on Israel.
They'll go further and say no government support for any speech that opposes their policies.
They will be delayed for a while due to their losses in the House and their likely failure to control the Senate (at least one Dem has said he will vote against court packing and ending the filibuster). But they and Big Tech will keep working on it.
I can come up with ways Big Tech can make what they want happen, but I don't even want to post it in the Frontier, never mind in public. I will however, as they probably thought of it.

Thank you, along with your comments to Kosh I see where you are headed with this now. You may be right however it seems more likely to me that BLM, Antifa etc will form an alliance with team Biden/Harris, all under the same big tent so to speak.
