Makes me wish a) I was there, and b) didn't have kashruth considerations.

When I was a kid mom made fried chipped beef and called it "bacon."

We had Morrsion and Schiff "Beef Rye" which was similar to corned beef, iirc.

Right now, I use Morningstar Farms veggie "bacon". I call it "facon". Not that great, but in an egg sandwich, it adds favor.

Now, the Morningstar Farms "sausage" patties are really good.  (All their stuff is vegetarian and some form of kosher, dairy)

I also use their "grillers" "burger"s and make facon cheese"burger"s.

I make fun of vegetarian "meat" but I can see its suitability for a kosher diet.

Those are the only kosher "meat" other than salami, hot dogs, and sometimes, frozen chicken I can get in 30 miles of here.

And when I do go to Price Chopper in Worcester for Passover orders, I hear people from NY complain about how expensive the kosher meat is there.

But when I was growing up, there were kosher butchers all over the place. I remember one that had live chickens and a shochet (kosher slaughterer).

One place, American Kosher on Blue Hill Ave was only wholesale by the late 1990's, but they'd let my father in for his retail orders. You had to go around back, because there was no front entrance.

That’s the farm where they club the animals to death using medieval melee weapons?

They club the soybeans to death. They don't use any animals. They do have frozen egg sandwiches. (Funny thing is, those don't have a kosher symbol)

The military, apparently, has acquiesced to Biden's demand that troops be screened according to who they voted for.  Only party loyalists, it seems, will be permitted.

Not that I find that claim all that difficult to believe, but that is not really what the article says.

It was reported elsewhere that the criteria the Biden "transition team" wanted them to use was checking party membership and voter registration records to find out who had voted GOP.  Remember that "white supremacist" means anyone who did not vote for Harris/Biden.

Well, these are obviously the actions of someone who won an overwhelming victory and has a clear mandate to govern.
