Ice covers the Sahara Desert for just 4th time in 50 years

On Tuesday (Jan. 19), one of the world's driest places awoke to an otherworldly dusting of frost.

In the Sahara Desert of northwestern Algeria, just outside the town of Ain Sefra, sand dunes were streaked with ice crystals as far as the eye could see. Local photographer Karim Bouchetata captured the unusual weather in pictures and videos that have since made headlines around the world.

WHO Changes CCP Virus Test Criteria in Attempt to Reduce False Positives

Just in time to prevent “new” virus cases from reflecting negatively on Biden and his administration. Watch for the number of new cases to drop precipitously so that Biden can take credit for his strategy, you know following the science and all that BS.

I'm also waiting for WHO to give the Wuhan labs a clean bill of health, so anyone who says that COVID was due to the labs can be considered anti-science and banned from social media. 

Even though the evidence really points to it being an accidental release from research there. For example, when COVID struck Wuhan, the bats in the area were hibernating, and the bat virus it came from is not from Wuhan, but a province 1200 miles away. So where would the virus be more likely to be found?

I've had ambiguous feelings about the song lyrics sites.

On the one hand, they are certainly plagiarizing the lyrics.

On the other hand, I have used them to find songs to buy. Remember a few lyrics from the radio, look up the song, and buy the album. 

But usually, I just use them to write parodies

In the lab. I’m a firm believer that the China virus was a creation of the CCP and that it was released from the Wuhan clandestine laboratory there, intentionally I will add. A good source of information on this topic is theepochtimes.com

The one reason I don't think the release was intentional is there is no evidence the CCP had a cure or vaccine, and they would not have released something that could make their senior leaders sick or kill them.

If they had it, they would be hawking it now as an example of their superior science.

The other possibility gets into conspiracy theories that they are giving it to Democrats and others on their side, but I don't want to go through that again, as I almost convinced myself of China Collusion.

Just because there is no evidence of a vaccine doesn’t mean they didn’t have means to prevent senior leadership from contracting the virus. Like the massive and invasive lockdown measures they put in place to control the spread. Or they may have used a prophylactic other than a vaccine to cure the elderly leadership had they contracted it. Covid was the perfect weapon for them to release on the world and the timing was ideal to upset the US election and thereby the balance of power in the world, with them eventually coming out on top. Biden is weak and they know it, they’ll be flexing their muscles all over the world now and with Covid soon becoming a thing of the past now.

I don't see evidence of anything that would have made the senior CCP leaders feel safe in releasing COVID. Unless we get into conspiracy theories.

I still think it was an inadvertent release, and quite possibly the mixture of something they were working on with an existing virus. If a cell is infected with two compatible viruses, the genetic material can mix to produce a chimera.

Hey, folks.  Had a rather fraught discussion with my brother yesterday, just before Shabbos.  He was calling, very nicely, to check on my mental state given the personal issues I've mentioned in the Frontier---and that was great---but somehow we got onto the election, possibly because I asked him if he'd seen any troops in his DC neighborhood (he had not).  

Anyway, he started talking about the "insurrection," the new Prog & Impeach initiative, etc., etc.  He claims to believe the election was all on the up and up, that there was "no evidence of fraud," and all the rest of it.  I pointed out to him that there are people arrested for vote fraud after every election, and that to believe this was the First Election With No Fraud Ever was in itself absurd on its face; that antifa had been yapping all over the Web for weeks about all the fun stuff they were planning to do as false-flag violence; that the actual allegations of fraud were resolutely ignored, and the fact that they were ignored by the mainstream news outlets dismissing them out of hand was blatant propaganda.  Also, the obvious fact that if there actually were no fraud the Left would have welcomed and invited the investigations instead of fighting them tooth and nail to prevent them.

He now thinks I'm off my nut, and my respect for his powers of analysis and his credulity threshold have...diminished.
