Weird stuff; I try to access the site via Google search on my phone, and it doesn't come up at all.  Nothing. I know it's got to show up somewhere, since several of you routinely use your phones to post.

Maybe it's not your phone. I'm having annoying network problems today, where I can't log into a computer at work.

Not sure, but  I don't think it's set up to be found on google. I can reach it on my phone since I sync my bookmarks between my laptop and phone so I just do it that way.

Well, the right leg could be a prop in a Star Wars movie.  I'm doing my bit to aid the opioid crisis, and hope that I can get my followup visit with the doctor on Tuesday and be permitted to walk again, instead of crutching around.  Painfully restricted mobility, as it were, punctuated by drug-induced naps.

Good to know, if still frustrating.  BTW, hope you enjoyed the little playlist the other day.

Oh, yes. Some I had heard before.

Still making my own playlist from 78's and 45's. Only uploading ones that aren't on youtube already, though, but I'll link to those when I record them.

If anyone has a copy of the Pete Seeger parody of the old "Boll Weevil" song, which discussed the WWII era housing shortage, I'd love to get the lyrics from them.  Can't seem to find the song---well, it is pretty obscure---on YouTube.

My first day in Washington, I spent looking for a bed

Trampin' up and down the avenue for a place to lay my head

Just a-lookin' for a home, just a-lookin' for a home...

The first time I saw my bedroom, there was just one bed and a chair

The next time I saw my bedroom, there was five guys sleepin' there

Just a-lookin' for a home, just a lookin' for a home.

The reason this comes up is we were watching "The More the Merrier" last night, a film starring Charles Coburn, Joel McCrea, and Jean Arthur, which also deals with the WWII housing crisis, and this film has not only some excellent banter but some very clever visual jokes.

Well, the advantage is that it keeps me off the phone except for phone calls, basic emails, and text messages.  I hate typing on a phone, anyway.

Buzz, The juxtaposition hang on the front page above the fold of today’s New York Times could be seen as lending credence to your conspiracy theory of last night. At the very least, it’s an example of “never let a crisis go to waste“.

And buzz, all kidding aside, careful with that stuff. Stop using it as soon as you can, switching over to prescription strength Tylenol or something of the sort. I imagine your doctors have been all through this with you.

Oh, I've got the Tylenol.  The prescription for the opioid will run out the day before my followup visit, even if I use it sparingly.  I don't think four pills a day over 4 1/2 days is enough to start an addiction.

Your Mileage May Vary, but following my knee surgery in October, I only took the oxycodone for about 2-1/2 days, then switched entirely to Tylenol.

Just got a call pretending to be from Amazon (but spoofed caller ID gave the town I live in and a fake number) claiming some amount is going to be charged to my credit call.

Told the fax machine to receive it.

Last time I did that, it stopped a different set of spam calls.

Note that I'm not really pushing this "conspiracy", per se.

The DC pedestrian bridge collapse was, again, because the top of a truck crashed into it.

The Miami condo collapse was private property.

Neither would lend itself to being a poster child for "MOAR PUBLIC INFRASTRUCTURE SPENDING".

That said, I do think the NYT editors did a bit of a deliberate juxtaposition of image/headline.

And they posted some picture from a cute Muslim toddlers site as a child killed by Israel - in 2017 or so and again, of the same girl, in 2021

Yup, sure. I have no doubt the editors are working hard to push their vision.

But there is that niggly brain cell in the back (that is shriveled up because I haven't been allowed to have chocolate in forever) that is very suspicious.

I'm more interested in the article claiming that Democrat "activists" are conservative plants. Based on the iron law of leftist projection, it supports my suspicion that BLM and Antifa, and possibly FBI agents, were at the Capitol on January 6th. Here's the link if you can stomach it.

I'm not giving the NY Slimes any ad revenue looking at their "All the Fake News that's Fit to Print" site.

They are becoming less credible in many things than the National Enquirer, and way less credible than the Babylon Bee, which they called "a fake news site masquerading as satire" - until the Bee either threatened to sue or did so.

Around here, the smaller trash bags are white, and the large ones are black, showing black supremacy.

But that does mean they are a minority, as most of the trash bins in the house are small and take the white bags.

Maybe I should write "Critical Race Theory and the Racial Implications of Trash Bag Colors"?////

(Although it would be possible to write something on the subject that a "respected academic" journal in race studies would publish.

Seattle is forecast to have temps near 100°F over the weekend.

Of course it's gorebul warming.

Seattle temp records only go back 150 years.

But a spike in 150 year record is "proof" of global warming.
