CIA (Central Islamicization Agency_ Director William Burns met with Taliban leader Monday

Not much detail here.

US President Joe Biden dispatched the nation's top spy to meet the head of the Taliban on Monday, in the highest level diplomatic encounter since the militant group took over Afghanistan's capital, the Washington Post reported on Tuesday.

The Post, citing unnamed US officials who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said CIA Director William Burns met Taliban Leader Abdul Ghani Baradar in Kabul on Monday as the Biden administration continues efforts to evacuate US citizens and other allies amid chaos at the airport in Kabul.

Reuters could not immediately verify the report. Representatives for the Central Intelligence Agency and the White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

How do you turn something like that into a Charlie Fox of epic porportions....

Intentionally.

Every damn country where there is a Embassy, consulate and US citizens there is an evac plan.

It's starts with notifications.

Then evac of dependents, then non-essential personal.

The pulling back or destruction of equipment, especially information.

Then pull out essential personal, to a secure ex-fil site.

Lastly the security troops on the ground.

It's not rocket science.

This seems to me to go beyond mere incompetence. I think it was deliberately mishandled so it wouldn't look like we were handing the country over to the Taliban, which we are. Or rather, the Biden administration is.

First, I believe the Trump military team had this worked out and was going to go through those exact steps. But those plans were thrown out because Trump's name was magically attached to the plans. 

Second, I've also been led to believe that Pompeo also had a rapid response team to address critical safety issues such as this Afghanistan fiasco. But when Blinken came in, that team was also scrapped. 

But you know, no mean tweets, so that's better. /

And to that point, they are doing it. 

Constructing “governments-in-a-box” in Iraq and Afghanistan was never going to fit their culture. Exporting human rights by explaining our self-evident belief in individual rights didn’t work in cultures that don’t think that people are primarily individuals with agency, but members of a group whose rights come from their role in a rigid hierarchy of ethnicity, gender or race.

Our own political and cultural elites have adopted that worldview making them particularly unfit to spread human rights or individual freedom abroad even as they eliminate them at home.

How can Biden, who decided to pick a black woman as his vice president, before deciding which individual was going to fill that role, credibly tell the Afghans or Iraqis that they shouldn’t pick their leaders based on their gender, tribe, ethnicity, or Sunni and Shiite status?

Human rights and individual rights are not the same thing.

Our leadership, political and cultural does believe in "human rights" that is always doomed to fail. The leaderships view of rights is that they proceed from a grant from government. They thus doubly doomed to fail. First that government is the source of rights, and their belief in group identity not the individual.

Virtually no coming out of the education can discuss the core philosophies of "conservatism" or "socialism".
