In #2 Occasional Reader said: “Liberalism is a mental disorder.” I would have to modify that to "Leftism is a mental disorder" Classical liberalism is quite different, and there are very few classical liberals left. Dershowitz, for example. Classical liberals, for example, prefer the freedom of Israel to the repression of the Muslim states. Leftists prefer Muslim repression even though it conflicts with their support for lgbtqesldkjf;laskdjf;laskjdf

In #5 Kosh's Shadow said: Classical liberalism is quite different Yes, I know. I’m just quoting it the way it has been presented at conservative blogs over the years.
I used to find the phrase objectionable. I no longer do.

In #6 Occasional Reader said: I used to find the phrase objectionable. I no longer do. Probably because there are so few classic liberals left. There are some places I agree with Dershowitz - the necessity of Israel, for example - and some places I don't, but we'd be able to have a rational conversation about our disagreements. Note he was ostracized from fancy Martha's Vineyard society because he said Trump deserves to be treated fairly, according to law. To leftists, that was defending Trump.

Conversation with my son from mere moments ago:
Me: there is something smaller than a quark?!
Little OR: Yes. There is something called string theory…
/I do not believe these are typical conversations parents have with six-year-olds 😳

Reply to Occasional Reader in 8: Also, electrons and other leptons do not seem to have a physical radius the same way quarks do. (Remember, I have a Master's in High Energy physics, but decided academia sucks)

But that’s not what I came here to talk about… But I'm sure you got a charge from it. But let's not talk about another class of subatomic particles, like neutrons and protons, collectively referred to as hadrons.
