I can't help but see eyes on that plate above. I'm looking for the nose and mouth next.

Why does the gay-rights movement constantly invent new impenetrable jargon? To make sure that you'll need a "trans" later.

Reply to Occasional Reader in 3: BTW, thank you, yet again, for sending that leg-cover for the shower. I'm in the endgame as far as dressings and bandages go---with luck, I'll be actually wearing two shoes again by mid-late September---but that thing made life much, much better. I'm packing it away in anticipation of using it again when I get the other foot done next year; meantime, please accept my heartfelt gratitude.

Reply to JCM in 5: heh. Actually the building has been kept up pretty well. It’s just sort of weird being here since we are only 25% occupied. Plus a lot of the businesses in downtown DC, local restaurants etc, have closed for good, it’s a little spooky.

The difference is, D.C. has a built-in customer market with the federal government.

Milley: US coordination with Taliban on strikes 'possible' WASHINGTON (AP) — Army Gen. Mark Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said Wednesday that it's "possible" that the U.S. will have to coordinate with the Taliban on any future counterterrorism strikes in Afghanistan against Islamic State militants or others.
The Taliban, said Milley, is a "ruthless" group, and "whether or not they change remains to be seen." Okay, Taliban feels "betrayed" over the choppers. But Milley says we might work with them. I think the guys on the ground defied orders and damaged the choppers.

Again: The Left excoriated Reagan for "trading arms for hostages," but Biden has given the Taliban arms and hostages.
