Is that breakfast or pie? Because it looks amazing. Good morning, campers. It's not enough that every news organization has declared what is and what is not COVID misinformation. Now a county in Nevada has established that COVID misinformation is a public health emergency. I wonder if Harry Reid is involved in this. It's not a huge deal because it's not setting up a law that misinformation will get you arrested, but it could be the first stepping stone to that.

Reply to vxbush in 1: They established Rule of Law goes out the window with a "Public Health Emergency" and the public at large has accepted that. Now they suspend the 1st Amendment. History books will wonder a free people, allowed a Republic to die over a hoax response to a flu.

In #2 JCM said: Now they suspend the 1st Amendment. A fitting article But we shouldn’t be willing to forfeit free speech if the sacrifice does not actually have the desired impact, or worse yet, if it actually makes the problem worse—in this case, by undermining democracy. Indeed, government punishment of disinformation is fundamentally antithetical to democracy. As the Supreme Court declared in United States v. Alvarez (2012), which struck down a federal law criminalizing certain false statements, “Our constitutional tradition stands against the idea that we need Oceania’s Ministry of Truth.”

Reply to Kosh's Shadow in 11: What they've done is carved out a except under "public health". I keep bringing up the Seattle Heroin site case, where a public initiative to block them was rejected by the State Supreme court. Because, Public Health Issue the public health authority should have pelonpenitary powers, not reviewable by The People or the Legislative branches. Most States there is a time limit on an emergency act, extension require legislative authority. None of the States I'm aware have serious challenged the 20th month of 30 day emergency powers.... because... Public Health. The idea is now "acceptable" that any and all Constitutional protection can be violated in the name of "Public Health".

Reply to Occasional Reader in 15: It frightens me because of what they label "Public Health" and therefore extraconstitutiona and extralegal. Hate speech, gun violence, housing, transportation, climate change, access to food, poverty I'm not making those up those are on lists of public health issues.

Take dogs out and then take the laptop that isn't working right to be shipped for repairs. Was able to squeeze it an the packing materials in the box, but I really think the box they sent is too small Have a chat transcript that says if I use the packing materials Dell sent, they will be responsible for damage. Have several pictures showing that, too.
