Kentucky principal investigated after getting lap dance at homecoming event A Kentucky school district is investigating after a teenage boy gave lap dances to his high school principal and other staff members during a homecoming event. Other provocative photos of spirit events at Hazard High School posted on social media showed teen girls parading around the gym dressed as Hooters waitresses and boys being paddled, according to the Lexington Herald-Leader. Hazard Independent Superintendent Sondra Combs told the paper Wednesday that the incidents are under investigation.

Wow. No, as far as I can recall, we didn't have any of that back in my school days (or not that I heard of, anyway).

Reply to doppelganglander in 6: Reply to Occasional Reader in 8: I know of at least two students who married their teachers from my time (early 70's). One was from my school and one is from the hamlet I live in now. I do remember one of our younger nuns who was dating our young priest. They eventually left their calling and married. I know, that's not the same thing but was quite scandalous at the time.

Certifiably insane. It's just a distended clitoris that distributes "gender fluidity."

It was much more common prior to the Stonewall Riots. For photographic evidence, you'd probably have to go back to WeeGee's photos of 1930s/1940s New York, which include pictures of queens in full drag being loaded into paddy wagons, but up through the late '60s/early '70s there were, in addition to "sodomy laws" ("the abominable and detestable crime against nature, with man or with beast, shall be punished by...") still laws on the books in many jurisdictions which forbade: selling drinks to homosexuals; "solicitation for acts of deviant sexual conduct"; persons of the same sex dancing together, and denied the cabaret licenses necessary for dancing to be permitted to establishments which might permit this; wearing the clothing of the opposite sex. The sodomy laws and anti-transvestism laws were extremely Biblical in their language (many dated from the 19th century). All these laws were things that were enforced "arbitrarily and capriciously," i.e., when someone got behind in their protection money, when someone needed to pump up their arrest record, when a forthcoming election mandated heavily publicized police raids on "dens of vice." I had to do a lot of reading on this topic in law school, given that the moot court topic my first year had to do with a "solicitation for an act of deviant sexual conduct in a public place."

Reply to doppelganglander in 6: I know of several girls from high school who married teachers, as well as one teacher who had a string of "improper relationships" with female students, though I don't know how far they actually went.
