Head of Counter Terrorism Policing North West, Russ Jackson, said the taxi passenger appeared to have made an "improvised explosive device" which caused the blast.

The man's motivation was "yet to be understood", he added.”

Biden---My Time!
---apologies to George & Ira Gershwin, and "Bidin' My Time"

Some fellers try to fulfill oaths of office,
Some fellers try to spare their constituents pain,
Some fellers try to tackle genuine problems,
Some fellers even avoid grabbing ill-gotten gains!

But I'm Biden---my time!
Just watch the inflation climb!
Supply chains are broken, 'cause of things I've spoken
I'm Biden---my time!

I'm Biden---my time!
Turn a blind eye to my son's crimes!
I'm busy workin' to rupture the infrastructure
Biden---my time!

I like to impose
Executive orders
But I won't act to close
Our wide-open borders

'Cause I'm Biden---my time!
My actions lack reason or rhyme!
Just wait for my new rules that ban fossil fuels
I'm Biden---my time!

CDC: No Record of Naturally Immune Transmitting COVID-19

In the fall, the CDC received a request from an attorney on behalf of the Informed Consent Action Network for documents “reflecting any documented case of an individual who: (1) never received a COVID-19 vaccine; (2) was infected with COVID-19 once, recovered, and then later became infected again; and (3) transmitted SARS-CoV-2 to another person when reinfected.”

In a response dated Nov. 5 and made public recently, the CDC said it doesn’t have any documents pertaining to the request. The CDC confirmed to The Epoch Times that its Emergency Operations Center didn’t find any records responsive to the request.

COVID super-immunity: one of the pandemic’s great puzzles

People who have previously recovered from COVID-19 have a stronger immune response after being vaccinated than those who have never been infected. Scientists are trying to find out why.

Lysenkoists are SHOCKED! SHOCKED! to find nature immunity is better.

Judge dismisses charge against U.S. teen Rittenhouse for possessing rifle

After prosecutors conceded that the barrel of Rittenhouse's AR-15-style rifle was of a length that would not categorize it as short-barreled, the judge dismissed the weapons possession charge, the only misdemeanor count against the teenager.

The prosecutors charge for a short barrel, they didn't know the barrel length.

How much a clown show are those two.

I wonder when this vaccine will become available?

New research conducted by the Israel Institute of Biological Research has shown that the Israeli Brilife vaccine is effective against the Delta variant, The Jerusalem Post has confirmed.

Specifically, neutralizing antibody tests performed in the IIBR lab showed that the vaccine’s antibodies maintain their neutralization capacity against all four major viral strains: Alpha, Beta, Gamma and Delta.

The Brilife vaccine, in contrast, is a vector-based vaccine. It takes the vesicular stomatitis virus (VSV) and genetically engineers it so that it will express the spike protein of the novel coronavirus on its envelope.

Once injected, it does not cause a disease by itself. VSV does not harm humans; instead, the body recognizes the spike protein that is expressed on the envelope and begins to develop an immunological response. The vaccine will initially be delivered by traditional injection.

The trial is completely politically motivated.

Liberals Accuse Rittenhouse Of Trying To Avoid Punishment Through Legal Loophole Known As 'Trial'

KENOSHA, WI—Leftists are sounding the alarm that Kyle Rittenhouse—a notorious slayer of white communist pedophiles—may escape punishment through a little-known legal loophole known as a "trial."

"This is very concerning," said Chip Cordray, progressive legal expert covering the case. "Using this obscure loophole, Rittenhouse's fate will be decided by an impartial jury of peers based on evidence, rather than the whims of noble communist revolutionaries on Twitter—such as Bette Midler and Joe Biden."

That, right there, should be grounds for at the very least a censure by his state bar (not to mention, fuel for appeal, mistrial, etc.).

Even if that factual statement were true - which, apparently, it's not - it's irrelevant and prejudicial.   JHP is recommended ammunition for self-defense, and is almost universally carried by cops in this country.  This prosecutor is a political apparatchik scumbag.

Our so-called justice system seems to have entirely dispensed with the ideal that the prosecutor is actually supposed to be pursuing justice, not merely acting as a partisan litigator.   A prosecutor who sees he or she has a bad case should be ethically obliged to drop the charges, not pursue it By Any Means Necessary to chalk up a "win" for him/her, personally

Full metal jacket.  (Not the movie, but the bullet type.)  In other words, not "hollowpoint".

Full Metal Jacket.

The round is entirely encased in a copper jacket.

FMJ is required for military use by treaty.

JHP, Jacketed Hollow Point, have a copper jacket mainly were the round contacts the barrel, then the tip is hollow. This causes the bullet to expand on contact. It transfers more energy to the target, it stops the bullet in a shorter distance, and is less likely to over penetrate. This why they are the preferred defensive rounds. Like OR said every cop carries JHP.

The expansion of the round is what Bringer thought was of as "exploding". Add to that they he never confirmed the length of the rifle, he is negligently ignorant of firearms, and usage.

There are exploding rounds. The guy who shot Reagan used them. But they are far different from hollow point.

I was just liast night watching the equivalent scene, in the Bruce Willis/Sidney Poitier/Richard Gere remake of that movie (which I actually like, though I seem to be in a minority on that one).

Of course, in the remake (PLOT SPOILER),  it's the guy who provides the shooting platform who tries to strongarm the Jackal into paying more, which does not turn out well for said guy; as opposed to the original, where it's the passport-forger who winds up having rather difficult client-relations.

Oh, the old Alec Baldwin defense?

Always assume a weapon is loaded, even if you "know" it's not.

Never aim your weapon at a target you are not going to destroy.

Never have your finger on the trigger until you are going to pull it.

Be sure of your target and beyond.

He's guilty.  Case closed.

I hate the remake for five reasons:

1) They fucked up the bit with the gunsmith.  He is the consummate professional in the original and the scenes with he and the Jackal are fascinating in their subtlety.  That was completely lost in the remake -- it became comic.  Even the forger in the original was not a comic character, just imprudent. In the book the Jackal is worried about whether killing him might endanger the mission but convinces himself that he will have finished the job before the body is found.

2) I'm sorry -- making a Hillary Clinton stand-in (the "beloved first lady" no less!) the target carries infinitely less gravitas than having le General as the focus.  Making the motive "misogyny" obliterates that historical grounding of the original -- the story cleaves so closely to what happened that one is left wondering whether something like this didn't in fact happen.  And making the assassin a simple woman-hater is just lame.

3) The remake is over the top; the essence of the original is how underplayed everything is.  That's honestly what makes it work so well.

4) Richard Gere.  He is not worthy to shine Michael Lonsdale's shoes.  Hell, it isn't worthy to be kicked in the teeth by Lonsdale.

5)  Richard Gere. I hate Richard Gere.

I would add that Caron, played by Derek Jacobi, is one of my favorite characters.  He really is the perfect foil for Commissioner Lebel.  And Tony Britton was amazing as Lebel's English counterpart.  Honestly, the casting in that movie is flawless from top to bottom.
