Reply to Occasional Reader in 1: Amalfi coast of southern Italy. Not a bad place to retire, provided you had the money. All three kids were being absolute pains this morning. Oldest Boy is at his grandmothers but I suspect he was being a pain as well. Not sure what got into them, though I have my suspicions.

My day started with one computer that had been up showing the power up diagnostics saying they passed. Then asked for bitlocker key, went to startup repair, failed, and I had a chat with Dell. System is not 2 months old. They are sending me a new CMOS battery. We'll see

I often say I should retire to the Living Computer History Museum as an exhibit.

Visited my local public library this past weekend for the first time in years. Very nice place, though I was surprised to find Orwell’s “1984” misfiled under “fiction.” Being a good citizen, I rectified the oversight.
Don't really watch the Wheel of Fortune, but I love his twitter account!

Reply to Occasional Reader in 11: Maybe if they treated Resident Biden like they did Trump people would rally around him. Seems like the more hate they heaped on Trump the more people loved him. Well, some people at least, others didn't need gas poured on their fires, they hated him just fine on their own.

If they had treated Trump like any other president, instead of ginning up hatred and lies, he would have behaved like any other president. I will never understand what it is about him that sends so many people into a frothing rage.

One gal I have been friends with for 60 years wrote such a Trump hate filled Christmas letter last year you could almost feel the spittle flying off the page. I was absolutely gob-smacked. Gees, after 60 years you think you know a person, but I guess not. Needless to say, I have nothing to say to her this year so off the list she went.
