Re: the number of Russian casualties--I have to wonder if Putin is pining for the old days of hardened soldiers in the same way he pines for the USSR. I think he didn't realize that the soldiers in the army weren't at the same level as the soldiers back when the Russians fell.
But a lot of things about Russia then were Potemkin-style, so perhaps I'm totally off my rocker.

I wonder how many of the folk folks who defined everything as rape are now saying "It's praiseworthy to have teachers teach little children all about ghey sex"? I bet the Venn diagram is just a single circle.

RudeBridger poll: What do you think is all-around the most reliable source of information regarding what's going on in Ukraine? (Regarding, among other matters, those Russian casualty figures.)

See, also, the percentage of "my body, my choice" T-shirt/poster owners, who are now enthusiastic mandatory-vaxxers.

Their body, their choice. Your body, not so much your choice.

And see, even-more-also, the Venn overlap between people who own/have owned "Question Authority" T-shirts/posters, and people who own "Because Dr. Fauci Said So" face-diapers.

I remember back in the early days of KIng Charles' madness, he and his courtiers were going on and on about "settled science." One ot the things that increasingly bugged him/them leading up to my getting the heave was my reiteration of the fact that "science" is never "settled," and that it is wrong most of the time until it is---temporarily---"right." The phrase "settled science" is wrong, whether the topic is covid, climate change, or the current manifestations of "gender" madness.
On the other hand, the sacrosanctity of "settled science" on the Left is why I've long advocated that Israel change the name of the West Bank to "the Science," so that when the Left objects to Israeli building and development there, Israel can reply, "The Science is settled." The Left won't have a word in reply.

That is a great question, and I don't know. I know that Sundance over at Conservative Treehouse finally saw reports coming from Ukrainians in the eastern provinces who say the Russians are releasing them and the Ukrainian forces are actually the ones who are preventing folks from leaving. He also noted that we hadn't seen any tweets or FB posts from folks in Ukraine who could explain what was happening on the ground around them, but some of these are now coming out. (You know if reporters could find tweets or FB stories that would show what is going on, they would have pointed them out already.)
I had hoped that Understanding War's website (example from March 21) might be a neutral place to get information, but it's focused on the military people and products and not the populace. So it seems a little too clinical.
Western media seem to be all in lock step that Russia bad, Ukraine good.

My impression is that "Sundance" is a bit of an ultra, so I'd take his stuff with a grain of salt.

What is Woman?
—apologies to Helen Reddy, and “I Am Woman”
“What is ‘woman’?” Blackburn asked
And Brown Jackson failed the task—
Although “woman” is why she’s the nominee,
She couldn’t toe the party line
When she was asked to define
And still stay consistent with biology
Oh, yes! How she tried
Transparently to evade
Having to declare her side
And the ideas in which it trades
If she has to, she will say anything
Right or wrong
Without principle
What is “Woman?”

So the Biden's brilliant black babe just praised the Black Israelites as a "cultural community around healthy living."

I would not suggest otherwise. But he often tries to get at specific concrete evidence to support his views. When he doesn't have that, he can go off the rails. He didn't think Russia would invade despite the buildup along the border, and he was dead wrong. He admitted as such.
I wish he had posted links to his evidence, but I don't recall seeing any on that page.
