We had figured this out already: Trump-Russia connection not 'technically plausible,' was 'user created' Durham states that after their meeting, personnel from the "U.S. Investigative Firm," which Fox News previously reported is Fusion GPS, tasked Steele to "research and produce intelligence reports" about Alfa Bank, "which he did." Durham, in his filing, states that Sussmann "represented and worked for the Clinton campaign in connection with its broader opposition research efforts" and "took steps to integrate" the Alfa Bank allegations "into those opposition research efforts." Durham argued that the evidence is "highly probative" because it establishes that Sussmann "represented and worked for the Clinton campaign with its broader opposition research efforts."

That's fine and good, but I have a hard time believing that he worked alone with FusionGPS. Given the broad scope of the DOJ folks involved and those in the White House covering for it, it seems to have been a much broader "effort." Morning, campers.

Reply to Occasional Reader in 1: It's great news. I'm flying next month and it will be a much nicer trip without masks.

Reply to vxbush in 5: This administration, like Obama's, relishes doing things that are in the face of their critics, confident that the bulk of the media will cover for them. Keep in mind the line from Macbeth; "What need we fear who knows it, when none can call our power to account?"

How Lithuania cut its ties to ‘toxic’ Russian gas Twelve years ago, Lithuanian company administrator Rokas Masiulis was handed a new job with an ambitious target: End his country’s reliance on Russian gas. In his new post as head of Klaipėdos Nafta, a state-controlled oil terminal operator, Masiulis was to oversee the commissioning and delivery into service of a floating liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal off Lithuania’s Baltic coast. The ship — which was named Independence and went into service in 2014 — was built to ensure Lithuanian consumers could still get gas even if political relations with Russia soured to such an extent that supplies from the east had to be switched off. Earlier this month, as the brutality of Moscow’s invasion of Ukraine became ever clearer, Lithuania’s government flipped that switch, announcing that it had become the first European country to stop all imports of “toxic” Russian gas. The Independence proved its worth and Lithuania’s gas supplies remained stable.

Reply to vxbush in 10: Nice; heh. However, I strongly suspect that there will be a move by the administration---and certainly by some state and local authorities---to re-institute the mask mandates following a new-and-improved covid scare, which will be imposed after the initial rush of euphoria has been allowed expression for a month or two, say, after the more-contested primaries are safely over.

I agree with you, mostly so they can continue the mail fraud voting systems. They won't release the raw numbers of COVID cases, because then people could see that they are far less than we have had in ages, and thus have no reason to shut down. That's my current guess, based on the panic I'm hearing from Democrats that talk to the writers in the media.

Reply to vxbush in 16: Sadly, I suspect the Republicans will be too busy singing "Ding Dong, the Mask is Dead" to bother to prepare for this almost-certain eventuality.

It's no wonder that the utterances from this administration sound like drunken ramblings, when you consider that Biden's press secretary is named Gin Sake.
