Australian Researchers Develop Semi-Permanent Virus and Bacteria Repellent Surface Spray

Sounds good right....

Hold the phone!

The spray was found to be 99.85 percent resistant to gram positive and gram negative bacteria, which despite being structurally different, can both develop resistance to antibiotics.

They never learn. a 0.15% survival right will lead to future generations of bacteria being resistant.

I subscribed to the hygiene hypothesis. We're better off with a low background amount of bacteria etc... in order to build the immune system. A immune system protected from exposure lead to lack of immune response or a over reaction to the exposure.

How much does that cost per month?

“Our equipment only operates on the spectrum allocated by the FCC for commercial use,”

It doesn't have to operate, an antenna is an antenna, all they have to do is gather all the radio signals, send the data off for analysis later and elsewhere.

DO NOT TRUST LED LIGHTBULBS.

DO NOT TRUST LED LIGHTBULBS.

Did I mention...DO NOT TRUST LED LIGHTBULBS.

Came into the GF's apartment and turned on a number of fans and the AC...and the various lights.  The NON-LED lightbulbs---standard incandescent, standard fluorescent, curly-fluorescent---worked fine.  The LED lightbulbs went on at (maybe) half-strength); three "75-watt equivalents" came on at the equivalence of a single incandescent 40-watt.

Whether or not the LEDs have a "brownout chip" to tell them when to crap out, I do not know.  What I do know is that just as I was beginning to think that hey, maybe LEDs are not so bad after all, this happened---and it has wholly changed my view of the worthiness of LEDs.

I’ve been using LED lightbulbs for years now, and never had a problem.

Neither had I.  You can imagine how shocked I was/am at coming into the apartment and finding that the non-LED bulbs worked just fine, but the LED bulbs did/do not.

I do not know what to make of this.  Half the bulbs in the apartment are non-LED, and work fine.  Every single LED bulb is functioning at (maybe, at best) half strength.  I have no reason to make this up; I am merely reporting my experience.

Has to do with the way LED's work, depends on how they wire the voltage regulator. An LED has to take in 110v AC and convert it to a low voltage.

Depending on the regulator the output will to the LED itself with also drop.

In simple taxpayer language, what does that mean?  The LEDs have never done this before, and we've done nothing to the fusebox/circuitbreakers or anything else.

How the hell do we get them back to functioning the way they were...yesterday?

JCM 7/25/2022 11:31:43 AM

Most LEDs operate at 5V, some 3.7v, 2.5v or down to 1.8v.

Inside an LED bulb will be a regulator to control the voltage going to the LED itself.

110v in. Now as the input voltage drops, different regulators will have different reactions. Some the output will be maintained until the input is too low and they will just stop output and bulb won't work, some the voltage output will droop proportionality to the input, other regulators will step down in the increments above.

The next factor is the LED, if you drop the input to the LED it's light output will decrease.

Question is, why do the non-LED bulbs work as usual, and the LEDs don't?  Clearly it's not a circuit-breaker issue; if it were, none of the bulbs or fans would be working.  So, how do I get the LEDs back up to prior performance?

Absolutely right, microbe exposure builds immune response. Take your infants to a petting zoo.

A lower prevalence of asthma among children in farm environments supports the hygiene hypothesis on the role of childhood exposure to microbes in developing a more favourable immune system.

As long as current is flowing a incandescent will light up, drop the voltage enough it will grow dimmer.

With an LED some will shut down some will step down in output.

Chinese drones also pose a similar security concern

Last year, two different cybersecurity firms, one American and one French, reverse-engineered DJI applications. Both firms found that the apps collected an individual’s private information without their permission or knowledge and transmitted that data back to the developers in China.

Howdy all, thanks for the well wishes! I’m zazzed, can’t wait! They surprised me by giving me what they said was a late Father’s Day gift, a lottery scratch off ticket, so I scratched the price section to reveal a win three matching gold bars. I got through scratching the first part of the prize box which read “We’re having a …” and then it dawned on me I had been set up! I nearly cried tears of joy lol

Also "radiation hormesis". Slightly above normal background radiation is better than 0 radiation. Very well suppressed.
