I think I've sold my house ... again.  Here's hoping it sticks.  At least this time I was getting serious offers.

Next step - find a place to live.  The house I had hoped to get sold, which is not surprising since it was absurdly underpriced.

I hope for the absolute best result, Lucius. You need some good news your way.

Morning, campers. So I hear Liz Cheney didn't win the Republican primary in Wyoming. Being the person who asks too many questions and has too few answers, I have to wonder: did her appeal to Democrats absolutely sink her with anyone in the middle? Are there too few Democrats in Wyoming to do any good? Or was it her support and work on the January 6 committee that absolutely sunk her? I'm assuming the answer to the last question is "yes", but I am curious enough to wonder about the number of registered Democrats in Wyoming.

Search, and you can find. Wyoming has a lovely web page where they maintain the numbers of party registrations in their state, and stats right before yesterday's election indicate that the numbers are:

Republicans: 215,195

All others, including Dems: 71,819

Even if she had gotten the vote of every other party member, chances are very good she still would have lost. Her appeal to Democrats in that state simply prove to me (yet again) how completely out of touch she was with her state.

The final tally as of this morning:

Liz Cheney: 49,316

Harriet Hageman: 113,025

Yeah. Not even close.

IMO the voters abandoned her because she abandoned Wyoming. They didn't punish her for being disloyal to Trump, as the Democrats are spinning it. She could have had her seat for the next 30 years if she had focused on energy and agriculture. Instead she decided to put her personal ambitions abover her constituents' needs.

Certainly that is the sentiment I see at other web sites. In one place (alas, cannot recall where) a Wyoming voter said that she actually really lived in Virginia and spent so little time in Wyoming no one knew her. Based on her behavior, I rather suspect this is correct.

May it go as smoothly and as lucratively as possible.  You're overdue for some good fortune.

So, on the BBC this morning they mentioned that the next International Climate Conference is going to be held in Egypt.

I guess they're all worried about "Climate De Nile."

So, possible names for electric automobiles:

The Dodge Re-Charger

The Ukase (the government is practically ordering us to buy them, and we already have Fiats)

The Da-Fé (buying an electric vehicle is an act of faith, after all, and with the tendency of electric car batteries to burst into flame, the auto Da-Fé will more than likely resemble the medieval autos-da-fé)

Heh.  I'll also re-submit my idea for a re-introduction of the old Dodge Crusader, but in an electricity-sipping configuration; to be dubbed the Deus Low-Volt.

I'm watching a bunch of bloggers hating on Mike Pence at another blog, convinced that he stabbed Trump in the back, that he could have refused to certify the 2020 results, etc.

I've never thought Pence any great ball of fire, or tower of strength, but I don't see him being a blind hate-Trump type as Liz Cheney seems to be.  What's really weird is seeing all these people who spend the lion's share of their time online decrying the misrepresentations and perfidy of the mainstream media swallowing the mainstream reportage whole when it happens to feed their emotions.

Chanting for solar power, of course.
