Reply to Occasional Reader in 3: Way doesn't ever occur to these folks that a little bit of "cowboy" is a good thing? Reagan got peace treaties with the Russkis, and ended the Cold War. Trump all the bad actors behaved themselves and he got the Jerusalem Accords.

It's pretty clear that these folks (and seemingly the entire Democrat party) has no intention of looking like a cowboy or having anything resembling a good economy. The current economy is a feature, not a bug.

And when we agree to send main battle tanks to Ukraine, those will be the Abrams Accords.

I was one; and yes, I did. I went to see it in the theater with my sister and my dad. It was a source of "inside jokes" among us for quite some time (since we knew my mom would not have approved of some of the humor).

Reply to Occasional Reader in 17: Nowadays, a lot looks dated - no Hari Krishnas in an airport. But a long time ago, I went to a JC Penny and got a cheap winter jacket - and said "Now I know why the guy in Airplane! was so excited about a sale at Penny's" Video

I also remember when my aunt got a car a lot like this (but a 4-door) and complained the car wash didn't wash under the tail fins

My car is a 2016 model, and has a lighter, and at least something that could serve as an ashtray.

Reply to Occasional Reader in 21: I am surprised. I have had a power outlet that was based on the lighter, but not the insert that got hot, in cars built after the 1980's.

Isn't that the truth. Actually I was hoping to go to a local bar that had soul music tonight, 10.00 cover charge . I stayed home instead, that's what I do these days. It's not fun to get old.
