If yesterday taught us anything it's that Trump has to go. I don't care where, but he needs to be completely excised from politics.

I didn't read the news yesterday (I didn't want my blood pressure to explode), so I have no idea what he did or didn't do. Care to share or provide a link?

Reply to vxbush in 3: It's just that the candidates he pushed all got beaten because they were awful candidates. Fetterman should have lost - anyone other than Oz could have wiped the floor with him. Ditto with Walker. Never vetted him as a candidate, Trumpsters got him the nomination - that's now TWICE that the Trumpsters have lost the SAME Senate seat in Georgia. Plus he won't shut up.

Reply to lucius septimius in 4: I think that explanation works up to a point, but does not explain, for instance, the New York governors race outcome. Lee Zeldin was a perfectly good candidate. And yet the utter disaster incumbent won.

Biden's handlers are going take the red wave turning into a canoe wake as mandate and double down.

Larry Correia had decent evidence suggesting it in 2020; I hope someone is paying close attention this year.

Possible silver lining...
It's quite likely, indeed almost certain, that things are going to get worse between now and 2024; particularly on inflation. If the Red Tsunami had materialized, the Dems would have tried to use it to duck responsibility in the 2024 election cycle - it was Republican Obstructionism that made everything worse! As things stand, they'll have trouble doing that. And 2024 is for all the marbles.

AZ smells. We're having trouble counting ballots.... who is in charge of elections? One of the candidates.

Reply to doppelganglander in 18: Expanding the franchise beyond property owners, i.e. taxpayers was the original mistake. The American Republic will endure, until politicians realize they can bribe the people with their own money. Alexis de Tocqueville To many voters now are vested in what government does for them.
