That Feeling When you wake up in the morning after having a, uh, pleasant dream about your ex, IYKWIMAITYD, and you also for some reason have the song "Hopelessly Devoted To You" running through your head; while, in real life, you're really quite happy with your ex being your ex.

In #5 Occasional Reader said: Never been a fan, myself. I find the flavor cloying, especially first thing in the morning. Whereas I love cinnamon, but there is research to suggest that the tastebuds that trigger for cinnamon and chocolate are the same. So perhaps not such a mystery.

Evolution in action: It appears that there have been a few fatalities recently in NYC, of kids who were "subway surfing"---i.e., riding on top of the cars of a subway train. The most recent was a 15-year-old who was riding atop a train going over the Williamsburg Bridge into Brooklyn, who bonked his head on a piece of the bridge, and fell beneath the train. There's apparently a lot of handwringing going on, with Mom Who Raised an Idiot and the NYC Mayor yakking about how there should be a crackdown on websites showing "subway surfing" videos to discourage these morons from behaving like morons.

It's amazing consistent how it is never the duty of the adults around the child to teach them to live responsibly and safely; it is alway the responsibility of Some Other Group™️ that has to instill these virtues in the kids.

At Insty.
I am perfectly happy to listen to reasoned arguments by people who think that we should not be involved in Ukraine. But I have no patience for the idiots who morally compare NATO expansion, through countries, voluntarily joining NATO, with Russian westward expansion, via military force. Ridiculous.
