There's an old joke about a bull who, scenting the cows in the neighboring field, attempts to leap the fence so he can mate with them.  He makes it over, but doesn't quite clear the fence, resulting in the loss of certain essential anatomy. One of the cows consoles him by saying, "That's all right, dearie.  You can still be a consultant."

Oh I know that one well ...

This guy is a local business man who made a pile of money and then decided the turn the business over to his son and retire.  Since then he has been active behind the scenes in the state GOP.   Unfortunately he is sensible which makes him unpopular with the nitwits who run the party here.
