Prediction; they'll swiftly get broken, by the orcs who are taking over the Metro; because of course there's little to no enforcement of ANY of this.
Up until two years ago or so, turnstile-jumpers were, to me as a near-daily Metro user, an incredibly rare sight on the DC Metro. Now, on the relatively rare occasions I use the Metro, they're not uncommon. But I'm sure it's the fault of Trump and climate change.
Wouldn't have anything to do with homeless squatters.... nah, that couldn't be it.

One was by Trump; the other, by climate change.

Oh, I'm sure a lot of people "shot up" in the "homeless camps."

There are so many in New York that I am convinced they believe turnstile-jumping is now an Olympic sport, for which they are practicing.

Without even watching the video, based only on the title, I'm going to go ahead and suggest that those consequences are not necessarily 'unintended".

I have a dermatology appointment tomorrow. So they text me saying, "check in for your appointment, after downloading this app!"
Uh, no.

Wow. Sounds identical to an experience a family member had with their eye doctor, although the doctor's office did make it clear that this was their new preferred product for client checkins, indicating they had made this change since his last appointment.

Another article at The American Prospect about Silicon Valley Bank, which notes at the end, "All this [trouble with multiple failing banks worldwide] emanating from a problem bank [Silicon Valley Bank] that was so obvious, supervisors caught it before interest rates started to rise, yet ended up doing nothing about it" (edits mine). The article points out banking regulation issues going back to the 2008 crisis and regulators doing their job but with no teeth.

Hypothesis: We are so tired of living in a Biden universe that we have no desire to talk about it. Discuss.

Come on, man! Biden was there at the creation of the universe. He also was there when Corn Pop was cast out of heaven, for rebellion, I think.

I'm just worn out with it all. WSJ catalogues the endless bullshit the current Marxism-Bidenism tosses out, then says what he could do to make things better but that he'll never, ever do. Then there is the endless Monday-morning quarterbacking on the bank crisis. And now the Banana Republic touch of the NYC prosecutor who puts murderers and rapists on the street but is going to arrest Drumpfhitler and finally send him to the gallows or something. Meanwhile I'm on track to lose more money this year than I made in my last two years of working.
The parties offer us the option between full-blown Mussolini corporatism with out the fun uniforms and giving in to the corporatists (the GOP, aka the Palooka Party). China and Russia are winning and we care more about making sure that every honor ever bestowed upon women goes to pedophiles who wear dresses than defending our country. We've turned over the schools to Communist trans-activists in league with drug companies and sadistic doctors addicted to flesh sculpture. We are becoming increasingly dependent on countries like Poland and Japan to defend us from the barbarian hordes. Except this time there will be no miracle before the gates of Vienna but a bunch of mushroom clouds.
Fuck it. I give up. I'm going to tend my garden (figuratively). Who cares about what's going on in the world? It's pointless.
Lucius, has anyone ever told you that your relentless sunshine-and-lollipops cheerfulness sometimes gets annoying?

Hey, I know Biden is old, but I didn't think he was THAT old. Has he shared stories of talking to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob?

(They didn't exactly break the bank on the special effects for that video, did they? Great song, though.)

Did you read my novel? I don't think so, but I went back and started re-reading it recently. It predicts "cancel culture" - that was obvious by 2016.
