I suppose if an alien species wants to get rid of the native species and take over, it makes more sense to do it subversively so you don't end up instigating war. So many movies on this, but the most successful example I can think of were the Aschen from StarGate: SG1.

One thing to note: apparently the source for the voice is an article Trump posted to Truth Social. But still--why make an artificial voice? Just show the post. This kind of fakery really bothers me.

So, here's what worries me about 2024.

At this point, if I had to bet my retirement on it right now, I'd reluctantly but realistically bet that 1) Trump will win the nomination and then 2) lose the general election (to Biden, or whoever is brought in to replace him). And if DeSantis is nominated, I predict, again, sadly, that he'll lose to the Dems.

The rift on the right is just too deep. Unless a miracle happens, and Trump and DeSantis agree to be on the same ticket (in one order or another), too many conservatives will just sulk in their tents on Election Day 2024. The Dems will vote in lockstep, no matter how disastrous their candidate is.

I started writing a novel in which aliens wanted to take over Earth, so they sent a team to "help" - they helped the entertainment industry come up with stuff that was catchy and made people stupid; they assassinated Kennedy; they are behind the environmental movement, etc.

But the dialog in it absolutely sucks. If anyone wants to collaborate on it, let me know. I have it largely planned, and the main characters worked out.
