BRICS is looking to expand, and it is becoming an anti-US group. If the count is correct, over 40 countries are considering joining, while 6 have been invited: Argentina, Egypt, Iran, Ethiopia. Saudi Arabia, and UAE. 

And I note that Biden continues to be on vacation, and Blinken has said nothing as far as I am aware.

A Federal Court Denies Maryland Parents an Opt-Out Policy for LGBTQ Books

What the headline means is that the judge ruled that the families' requests to have a preliminary injunction that would require the school board to inform parents (which is mandated by the state) when they would read these books and give parents the right to remove their children from these assignments. 

The argument for why they don't need to notify parents? 

Becket Law said that one board member told parents that the move was justified because allowing parent to opt their children out of the books that  “offend your religious rights or your family values or your core beliefs is just telling [your] kid, ‘Here’s another reason to hate another person.’” 

Apparently, the board member doesn't even see a reason to state why s/he hates your kids.

Rodas alerted HHS about how children were being sent to foster homes where they were being trafficked for labor and sex. She alerted HHS executives and was told, “‘Tara, I think you need to understand that we only get sued if we keep kids in care too long. We don’t get sued by traffickers. Are you clear? They might....might.....be slightly more open about it. But they are trying to win another election. If they succeed, then I expect things to get worse.
