Since there's nobody in the room, maybe I'll look under the sofa cushions and see if anyone left some loose change...

In #2 Kosh's Shadow said: I just haven't had much to say yet Neither have I. The news continues to be, at best, depressing, and I'm still struggling to make order out of chaos in my new space. Plus, I'm still going through phone hell with Verizon, which puts a cloud on my bright chitchat impulses. I continue to be astounded at the blizzard of bullshit that is the "climate change" narrative, and the extend to which seemingly-sentient people seem willing to buy into it.

Reply to buzzsawmonkey in 3: Biden: 'Nobody Intelligent' Can Deny the Impact of the Climate Crisis (A VIP link that their broken login system lets me see)
Climate change is a cult. Real science has rational discussions between people who believe the current theories and thise who do not. For example, Fred Hoyle never accepted the Big Bang theory but was never called a "denier" and thrown out of astronomy. Einstein disliked quantum mechanics, but they did not "cancel" him. (The Nazis did for being Jewish, but that is their problem) If "climate science" were REAL science, the skeptics would be engaged to make the theories better - and determine which theories are correct. It is a cult, trying to pass the world through fire for the sake of Baal.

While the likelihood of rapid response is minimal, given that it's Labor Day tomorrow, I think I'll give that a try. It's either that or switch to T-Mobile, which will also be a royal pain in the ass. Thanks for the tip!

In #4 Kosh's Shadow said: It is a cult, trying to pass the world through fire for the sake of Baal. I've referred to "climate change" as the modern Tower of Babel. And, once again, I will re-post this comment: All the people who want to "regulate the planetary climate" and demand the power and unlimited resources to do so are people who have proven themselves incapable of competently managing and running recently-built, closed, man-made systems. They cannot competently run power grids, or municipal water systems or trash pickup; they cannot competently maintain, let alone repair, the "roads and bridges" they are always prating about; they cannot competently run or maintain the public housing they increasingly want people to live in, or the public transportation systems that they want people to rely on. More than that; they cannot competently direct disaster recovery/relief from floods, hurricanes, tornadoes, droughts, wildfires, volcanic eruptions or earthquakes---let alone control or prevent such disasters. Yet they want people to believe that they can, and should, be permitted to try and regulate the planetary climate, which is infinitely more subtle and varied and complex than any of the recently-built, closed, man-made systems they have already repeatedly proven incapable of managing.
