Looks like we might have an answer about who has been buying all the land around Travis AFB. Can you say planned community?

I feel pretty confident that this will end poorly.

AI is nowhere near ready to write newspapers when you have actualheadlines like this:

“The Worthington Christian [[WINNING_TEAM_MASCOT]] defeated the Westerville North [[LOSING_TEAM_MASCOT]] 2-1 in an Ohio boys soccer game on Saturday.”

Scientists finally know why Germany’s wild boar are surprisingly radioactive

And it's not the result of Chernobyl.

In the picture above, I can figure out each profession except the second one from the right. Hipster?

Don't buy it in the least.

A planned community next to a AFB?

What comes with an AFB?

The Sound of Freedom.

The type who like the idea of a living in a "green city"... loathe the noise.

No concrete levels provided in the article. Which means the levels, 88% above the limit again undefined, are so low as to be insignificant.

Salesman, more likely. "This Impala only driven to church on Sundays by a little old lady" [Little old lady worshipped at the racetrack and raced the car there]

Didn't some Japanese official eat fish from the area where they released radioactive water? I hope they are working on a Japanese monster movie based on that!

But a radioactive super-politician whose superpower is giving long speeches would be quite boaring.

The whole panic about "radioactive water release" from Fukushima was complete and utter nonsense.

Let's give the radioactive boars the "radioactive" water!

About the boars.... the only fact that article gives is the German limit is 600 Bq/Kg of radioactivity, that is a measure of the number of decay events.

Background radiation in the food supply from all sources? 400-600 Bq/Kq. In other words the limit cited in the article is upper limit of natural decay events.

Radiation hormesis. Even NIH has to admit that low doses of radiation might be beneficial

LDIR may promote hormesis. Radiation-induced homeostasis, often termed hormesis, is a theoretical concept that suggests that exposure to LDIR stimulates beneficial pathways. Several reports indicate that the hormetic process boosts cell survival and growth, improves immune functions, and enhances cytogenetic protection [8,9]. Most population-based epidemiological studies do not show a threshold for cancer incidence; however, at LDIR doses below 100 mGy, there is uncertainty as to whether significant increases in cancer incidence occur in humans. Intriguingly, accumulating experimental evidence indicates that the linear no-threshold (LNT) hypothesis cannot be supported by the biological findings following LDIR exposure, demonstrating that LDIR exposure rather reduces the risk of spontaneous cancer [10,11,12]. Even though the phenomenon is not universal, multiple cellular and molecular data support the notion that LDIR-mediated adaptive responses induce hormesis and cell proliferation in normal cells, but not in cancer cells [13,14,15].
