In yesterday's thread, OR said: Now, when I go furniture shopping, I'm a Pier One special operator.

Wait--Pier One is still around? I thought that was yet another furniture store that closed around COVID.

Republican governors shipping illegal aliens from border states to Democrat strongholds by bus? Horrific!

The Biden administration flying them to Arizona processing centers? *shrugs shoulders*

Why don't more writers talk about how this is the way the Democrats get enough bodies to cover the votes they need to win the next election?

So the Colorado Supreme Court's action to prevent Trump from being on the Colorado ballot is a lot weirder than we already thought.

First, voters cannot write Trump's name in to vote for him. Per the conclusion to the Court's proceeding, "the Secretary may not list President Trump's name on the 2024 presidential primary ballot, nor may she count any write-in votes cast for him."

However, the Court recognized the very high likelihood that their ruling would be overturned, because they included language that says if the decision is bumped to the Supreme Court, the ruling is stayed. Quoting: "We are also cognizant that we travel in uncharted territory, and that this case presents several issues of first impression. But for our resolution of the Electors’ challenge under the Election Code, the Secretary would be required to include President Trump’s name on the 2024 presidential primary ballot. Therefore, to maintain the status quo pending any review by the U.S. Supreme Court, we stay our ruling until January 4, 2024 (the day before the Secretary’s deadline to certify the content of the presidential primary ballot). If review is sought in the Supreme Court before the stay expires on January 4, 2024, then the stay shall remain in place, and the Secretary will continue to be required to include President Trump’s name on the 2024 presidential primary ballot, until the receipt of any order or mandate from the Supreme Court."

Oh, yeah. That sounds like they are totally sure they are following the spirit and letter of the law. Nothing like giving themselves a trapdoor to get out of trouble.

The good news is, Biden is tanking among black voters. The question seems to be if DOCTOR Jill will let him step aside or not. So far, the answer seems to be not.

I keep noticing this theme with Democrats, that they don't want people to know they are making money: Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson Hid Income for Years, Ethics Complaint Alleges

Perhaps, but "Crate & Barrel Special Operator" just doesn't do it, pun-wise.

So I've seen it whimsically/sardonically suggested that Hamas should have been hired to do the "Big Dig" in Boston.

Gee, I wonder where all that "humanitarian assistance" money for Gaza went.

Hasn't this been their modus operandi for a long time? I seem to recall them doing this in the past.

And with the UN, well, yes, this is the modus operandi, too. It's too convenient to ignore money being stolen and bad things happening. You might have to report stuff, then. Too much paperwork in that.

Yes, they've used tunnels to attack Israel and KILL JEWS!!!! MUST KILL JEWS!!!!! [foam dribbling from their mouths] for a long time.  I think what's been startling in the latest revelations by the IDF is the massive scale of the tunnelling.

My first thought seeing that story.... they are fund raising for Trump.

Second thought this should be fun, there is no conviction so the CO Court needs to step away from the crack pipe.

While driving back from dropping a car at the shop listening to a talk radio show.

There was a shoot out in a suburb between police and criminals.

The host described it as, "a two way rifle range".

Thought that was pretty funny.

Special work visas to be issued soon for Hamas "refugees/asylum seekers" as "skilled tunnel constructors," who will be hired by the New York Transit Authority, the Port Authority (since there is a new tunnel planned between Manhattan and New Jersey), and various other public-works entities across the country.

Oh, that seems actually plausible with all the men the IDF captured. They need to be gainfully employed with their key skills, after all.

To me, it seems like they are trying to have their cake and eat it too by giving the Lawfare crazies what they want while recognizing that what they did really can't be justified legally, So they gave themselves that out by saying the order was stayed if it went to the Supreme Court.

Honestly, it's getting to the point where everyone is doing whatever is necessary to keep the crazy lefties off their backs.

Discussion question:

It is beyond question that a massive intelligence failure occurred on Netanyahu's watch.

But is there any credible, possible PM who could replace him, and do a better job?

I've seen no one as capable as Netanyahu in Israeli politics, but I freely admit I'm not conversant on all the ones currently in office.

Intelligence failure? Possible, even likely. Intelligence failure are only evident in hindsight. Pearl Harbor, 9/11.

Better than Bibi? I don't think so.

If I ever establish something I can call a "ranch," I will call it "the Hooey-R."  Then, if someone---anyone---on my property transgresses in any way, I will be able to reprove them by saying, "That's not Hooey-R."

I would not be surprised to find out the "intelligence failure" in Israel was due to the US telling them that there was nothing to worry about (because the Jew-haters in high circles did not pass on the evidence that there was)

Or simply did not pass on the critical pieces of intel that would have completed the picture for the same reasons.

At both Pearl and 9/11 all the pieces were available to put together a picture of intentions, capability, and opportunity. It was that the pieces were held by separate intel groups. Pearl it was turf fights over intel. 9/11 it wa intentionally erected silos that prevented sharing.

Pearh Harbor and 9/11 were system failures.

I think 10/7 failure was deliberate on the part of some in the US "intelligence" establishment.

There are people there who were Iranian agents.
