Reading this article about how ICE agents can't keep track of all the illegal aliens in the country, notice the one of the ICE director: he says it's nearly impossible for agents to keep track of every immigrant. No shit, Sherlock. Now, in a real company, this type of mismanagement would be addressed, either by firing this director or by putting together more resources or changes to address this issue. But not the federal government! This is a feature.

Trying to image a machine and everything that can possibly go wrong has. The maddening uselessness of Microsoft error messages just boggles the mind.

Reply to vxbush in 9: Try Siemens.... they give you a nice error message and code. Go to the support pages and do a search.... 90% of the time.... yes 90% the search returns nothing. Since we're such a large customer we get regular meetings with executives... I flat out asked the, does one of software engineers write code for a error pop up message then not document that message? Their excuse is since they bought a lot of the acquired a lot of the software.... they aren't responsible.
