David Reichert, former King County Sheriff, former Congressman is/was running. Reichert has centrist to right appeal and support. He has name recognition in the state. And a solid record.

State GOP tosses him to curb with a no name party member with a host of issues.

(R)s are literally throwing the election to Sideshow Bob Ferguson, think Gavin Newsome but more charisma.

I want to know what's the quid pro quo the (R)s are getting to throw the election.

Republicans in New York---and, as far as I can tell, in most other places---are the Palooka Party, putting up the show of a fight for a few rounds before taking a dive for the guaranteed short money.
