Good morning, campers. Yesterday was a busy vacation day for my family which left all of us exhausted, so I didn't watch the debate. But from looking over the comments left here yesterday, I can't help but laugh at the thought that any Democrat thought Biden was going to be able to handle a debate of any kind. When you aren't using the MSM and getting your results filtered by them, it's pretty obvious that the man is toast. When the New York Times prints it, it's noteworthy: 

Democrats who have defended the president for months against his doubters — including members of his own administration — traded frenzied phone calls and text messages within minutes of the start of the debate as it became clear that Mr. Biden was not at his sharpest. Practically in despair, some took to social media to express shock, while others privately discussed among themselves whether it was too late to persuade the president to step aside in favor of a younger candidate.

“Biden is about to face a crescendo of calls to step aside,” said a veteran Democratic strategist who has staunchly backed Mr. Biden publicly. “Joe had a deep well of affection among Democrats. It has run dry.”

So the fact that the Democrats haven't been able to face reality until last night is telling. They clearly all get their news from the MSM (because those are professionals, doncha know) and clearly ignore things until they cannot be ignored any more. 

Stephen Kruiser is thinking a decision will be made by Sunday to drop Biden from the race. He notes, "They're in this position because they got caught up in their own lies about Biden. It was plain to see that the reaction on the faces of the talking heads was genuine panic. I have been writing for years that the Dems and their media propagandists lie so much that their lies become reality for them." I don't think that will happen, only because they need to keep Biden propped up until the beginning of the DNC convention, and then they can do a candidate swap. 

I expect the next month and a half is going to see a lot of people positioning to step into the Democrat presidential candidate role, and there is going to be daggers coming out of backroom discussions.

In other news, Trump lost won but may have set the stage for a big win. Quoting the Hill: 

Judge Aileen Cannon rejected claims Thursday from former President Trump that law enforcement misled the court in order to search Mar-a-Lago but kept alive other bids by the former president seeking to limit the use of key evidence, scheduling additional hearings in the dragging case.

Cannon rejected Trump’s request for a “Franks hearing” to review whether prosecutors made any false statements or omissions in crafting the warrant, determining Trump had not met the bar for additional examination.

While the ruling from Cannon denies a Trump effort seeking to toss the bulk of the evidence gathered from his home, she said further hearings would be needed to weigh two other arguments from the former president that likewise seek to toss evidence central to the case.

As X tweeter Shipwreckedcrew put it: 

WOW WOW WOW -- the most consequential legal order today might have come out of FL and not SCOTUS (although the SEC and EPA cases are big).

The FL judge has denied the Trump defense request for a Franks hearing, but IS GRANTING the request for an evidentiary hearing on the balance of the motion to suppress.  

This is over the "vigorous opposition" of the Special Counsel as described by the Order.

This means to FBI Agents and MAYBE DOJ officials will likely be questioned under oath about the search warrant and the execution of the search.

The Govt NEVER wants there to be such an evidentiary hearing prior to trial because so much info can be developed by the defense prior to trial that would otherwise not be the case.

ANY time you can get Govt witnesses under oath in a transcript, you have more info to work with in preparing for trial or to otherwise challenge the case.  

HUGE development -- known to those of us who understand where they path might lead.

It not if but when Joe resigns.

And whether the pressure Kamala out first and put in their preferred candidate. If she cooperates, she narcissistic nd arrogant enough to refuse thinking she can win.

Then have Joe resign.

So you're thinking Kamala gets to be president for 6-7 months so the Dems get the "first female black president" checkbox (for certain values of "black"), but then she isn't the candidate for the 2024 election? Interesting, but I can't judge the plausibility of this. Her behavior seems so different between when she was a candidate and now. Maybe she's finally failed upward and her inabilities have come shining forth. 

I think DR. Jill Biden might have a conniption at this scenario because she would be pushed out of the White House.

CNN has a headline calling it a disaster for Joe. The rest of the media is using the word panic for the dems a lot.

The (D)s could decide to ride the broken horse to the finish line and count on fraud and the illegal vote to win.

IMAO if they do keep Joe in... it is a sure sign they are confident enough in their fraud to win. Then Joe resigns shortly after the election. Team Obama keeps running things and they let Kamala cackle her way through 4 years.

El gato malo has a post today about all this, and has a possible China angle: 

china wants an end to the US as a superpower. they also know they cannot fight us militarily and that their own potemkin economy is tottering toward failure and burial beneath a mountain of debt. they will not attack us directly, they’ll undermine from within pushing a border crisis and bad military entanglement all over the world.

but what they really want is american internal collapse. how do you do that?

you push a candidate so senile and dishonest and unpopular to the fore and then help him rig an election so blatantly that no one can miss that the fix was in. you want irregularities, box stuffing, machines that suddenly get 300,000 biden votes at once at 3 AM, and exit polls that are 65% trump resulting in vote counts that are 51% biden.

you create an election so obviously fraudulent that america will not accept it and spark civil war or, at the very least, a full de-legitimatization of the US system. you cannot really lose. either your guy gets 4 more years to play the wrecker on a newly demoralized nation, or you spark a constitutional crisis and perhaps internal uprisings. it’s the final denouement of a decades long play to destroy US institutions.

obviously, these are all a bit speculative and the truth may lie in a variety of venn overlaps, but these seem like the key salients running around the board.

Maybe. Maaaaaaaybe. Very hard to confirm; it would take the dedication of the DOJ and CIA to actually investigate China to even possibly come up with this answer, although the number of  men crossing the borders illegally  of military age, military haircut, and military bearing seems noteworthy.

The question is whether LA, SF or Seattle will use this? Homeless a major part of the strategy so, no this will make no difference in those places.
