Feds Find a New Way to Screw Over Veterans You don't despise the VA enough...... Back in the early 90s, we had the opposite problem that we're facing today with our military recruiting efforts. We actually had too many people serving on active duty and we were overrunning the Pentagon's budget. (This was back when people in Washington actually paid attention to such things.) As a result, the Army began offering some service members cash incentives to voluntarily leave early. In 1992, Vernon Reffitt was one of the people receiving such an offer. He accepted a one-time $30,000 check to pack up his duffle bag and go home. But he had been injured during his service and later began receiving monthly disability compensation payments that helped him get by. But now, the federal government has notified the 62-year-old veteran that he must repay the $30,000 he was given. When he was unable to do so, they began withholding his disability payments.

Biden almost certainly be withdrawing from the race. I don't see how they can keep up the charade. I don't see Biden leaving office before the end of term. Which means a brokered convention. What is interesting is something VX mentioned early about State not changing their ballots. I lot of the most of filing deadlines have passed. Or do they run Joe and remove him after the election? We should start a pool......

We should start a pool...... I'm seeing things break into a few camps. Camp #1: DR. JILL and company. These are the family members that want Joe to stay in the White House at all costs. The reasons vary, but members include Jill and Hunter at least and some untold additional number. Camp #2: Specific people who helped put Biden into office. These include James Clyburn and a few others who benefitted from (or helped to cause) Biden's win. This is a smaller group but larger than camp #1. Camp #3: Rational Democrats. These are people who see Biden can't do the job and at least want someone who isn't a vegetable in the position. This seems to be a large and growing camp, and they seem to be the folks behind all the latest news releases of how Biden can't do things. A lot of people within the Biden White House are in this group. Camp #4: Irrational Democrats. These seem to be people who are going to support Biden at all costs because to do otherwise means they have to recognize they installed the vegetable. Such people include Joy Reid, who said she would vote for Biden if he were on a ventilator or in a coma. I exaggerate, but not by much. This group is also the Anyone But Trump (ABT) group, which could be renamed the But Anyone else but Trump (BAT), hence the BAT-shit crazy title.

I just looked at a thread on Facebook started by an old friend of mine---a fairly-prominent illustrator/cartoonist. He teaches illustration students, has a number of high-profile clients and at least one or two notable awards. The responders on his thread are not all known to me, but I recognize the name of at least one other prominent Left-leaning cartoonist and the art director of The Progressive magazine. They are all-in for Biden---though they'd back Kamala if she were certain to cut Israel loose (they actually think that Biden hasn't). This is all the sadder in that the artist who started the thread was born and raised Jewish, and should know better than to announce that he is now a BDS supporter. These folks believe every anti-Trump media distortion and misrepresentation, and largely, though not entirely, discount the evidence of their own eyes as far as Biden is concerned. They totally blow off Biden's, and the Biden Crime Family's, corruption and influence-peddling. It's unsettling reading.

It's unsettling reading. I bet. Can you tell, based on what was included in the posts, why they don't believe the corruption and influence peddling? Is it because they assume the police would have already taken them all down if it was true?

OK. First, the "every Thursday evening" is a reference to the maids'/domestics' nights off on Thursday. Totally different from the Berlin rewrite saying "have you seen the well to do, up and down Park Avenue?..." The original, by Harry Richman was gently mocking the pretensions of the domestics parading on their nights off.
