I'm ignoring last night's press conference because this story seems more critical to me. I'm sharing from PJMedia again, but the original story is in The Washington Post: 

David Ignatius laid out the whole sorry business in the Washington Post on Wednesday. “After months of agonizing [agonizing!] negotiation,” he revealed, “the Biden administration appears close to a cease-fire deal that would halt major fighting in Gaza, release some Israeli hostages and surge humanitarian aid to desperate Palestinian civilians.” 

Although there appears to be something in this deal for both sides, it doesn’t even sound good at first glance, and it gets much, much worse. Israel would get some, but not all, of its hostages back. Hamas would get even more “humanitarian aid” than it has already seized from the people of Gaza. And above all, Hamas would survive.

The Israeli government has repeatedly stated that the destruction of Hamas is its primary war aim. As recently as three weeks ago, the Netanyahu government reiterated that it “has defined the destruction of Hamas’ military and governing capabilities” as one of its foremost goals and emphasized that “the IDF, of course, is committed to this.”

The Biden ceasefire deal, however, not only doesn’t envision such a scenario but maps out a future for Gaza that includes Hamas. Ignatius explained that “Israel and Hamas have both signaled their acceptance of an ‘interim governance’ plan that would begin with Phase 2, in which neither Hamas nor Israel would rule Gaza.”

So Biden folks are calling delegates to the DNC convention, checking to see where they stand on supporting Joe. Calling these calls a mess is an understatement: 

One of [the delegates], however, was less intimidated than depressed about the state of the campaign after getting a second call from another aide reading the same script and asking about “concerns” regarding Biden’s nomination. “They clearly hadn’t marked down they had already called me,” said this demoralized delegate.

You HAVE to have good record-keeping for this kind of stuff. And the fact that they don't just demonstrates yet again how lame these people are. 

Note this, though: 

[Politico's] Martin wrote that he's "also learned of a group chat of a few dozen delegates who are organizing a letter urging the DNC to change the rules to make the nomination vote a secret ballot and free delegates to vote their conscience."

I think the delegates are trying to revolt, but they don't want to make it a public spectacle so they don't have to fear any blowback.

The same article also notes the decrease in donations to Biden's campaign, which might be the only thing that the Bidens would pay attention to. There's another article noting that the Biden campaign is looking into a Harris vs. Trump matchup (although if DR. Jill isn't on board, it probably won't happen) and how that plays out at the polls. I hope everyone who is called by these party hacks lies through their teeth.

I know. It absolutely should be. I hope Netanyahu trashed this "deal" ASAP. I'm hoping the State Department folks are the ones singing this to the Post, because Netanyahu has good cause to not allow any remnants of Hamas to stay.
