This article is truly disturbing for the way it reveals the mindset of many on the left: According to a new survey that RMG Research conducted for the Napolitan News Service, a staggering 17% of voters believe that America would be better off if last week’s assassination attempt on Trump had succeeded. This includes an alarming 28% of Democrats, with another 24% unsure whether America might be better off if Trump were dead. Only 48% of Democrats could definitively say that the country would not be better off if Trump had been killed. That is WAAAAAY too big a number of Democrats who would be very happy to see a presidential candidate dead. Another quote: Just over half of all Democrats (51%) still don’t believe that it’s necessary to increase Trump's security. This dismissiveness toward a twice-targeted former president is a stark contrast to the 62% of all voters who recognize the need to bolster Trump’s protection. And then, there's this: A stunning 49% of Democrats think it’s at least “somewhat likely” that Trump or his campaign orchestrated the attempt on his own life, with 21% saying it’s “very likely.” This I can partly understand, given the way the entertainment arena is all about creating fake stuff and how we've seen the media release fake stories over and over. But only partly. The idea that someone would ask a shooter to take pot shots at him in the hopes that it would bolster his standing in the race seems crazy to me, but then there's a lot of craziness to go around. To summarize: Trump is assumed to have set up an attempt on his life, but someone else trying to assassinate him is a moral good for the country. That's where the left is today. I don't see any way to step back from this precipice.

I highly recommend folks read El Gato Malo's article on California's AB 2655, which Governor Newsom signed. Several hot takes I've seen have been outright wrong, but the gato here has a decent analysis, methinks. There are so many issues in this one topic to be discussed, but probably the only one that really matters is how quickly can this be put on the trash heap of history.

Reply to vxbush in 1: They done a bang up job of demonizing the opposition. The tactics are straight out of the Stalinist, Maoist play book. We all know how those turned out.

Reply to vxbush in 2: The first Amendment applies to The States, Gitlow v. New York, 268 U.S. 652 (1925). This bill is a direct violation of the First Amendment. Newsome and the Cali Legislator know all this. They don't care, and again a Stalinist, Maoist action.

In #13 vxbush said: The next round? BREAKING: Home Solar Systems Explode in Beirut, Lebanon Following Walkie-Talkie and Pager Blasts, Officials Say
That was from yesterday; I haven't seen any update confirming it, so I'm skeptical. Unless they were able to target the homes of Hizballah members in particular (which is not entirely out of the question), what tactical or intelligence advantage would Israel gain by blowing up random home solar power systems? Keep in mind that 1) there's going to be a lot of false-positives and deliberate disinformation rolling around the internet about this whole topic anyway. and 2) Hizballah and the Lebanese government (big Venn overlap there) have every incentive to start pumping out false claims about all sorts of civilian infrastructure blowing up and killing/injuring civilians.

True. In fact, depending on the needs of the Lebanese government, crafting such a story to deal with their own problematic individuals might provide them with the cover they need. (Am I looking at the DOJ, SS, and large portions of the federal government when I consider this idea? Yes, I definitely am. How sad.)

Reply to vxbush in 13: The genius of this now Hezbollah is looking at every piece of technology wondering is compromised. That will slow down the planning cycles for Hezbollah and reaction times to Israel operations.

Life is just Hezbollah buried It's not mysterious Oh, how they weary us Thousands of rockets they like to throw But they panic when their pagers blow, blow, blow--- Remember that if they all are buried Iran's jihad must fall--- They killed civilians, like their ally Hamas But whined like stuck pigs when that bit them on the ass Life is just Hezbollah buried So live, and laugh at it all! ---apologies to "Life is Just a Bowl of Cherries"
