Reply to yesterday's buzzsawmonkey in 1: I don't think it would take much to update that poem to today, but the list of goods would have to be changed, of course. And various social media entries would have to be referenced.

I'm just taking the following comments from PJMedia about the report the Secret Service (SS) released about the Trump assassination attempt in Butler, PA. Notice the juxtaposition, which I'm highlighting here (some are quotes of summaries from PJMedia, some are quotes from the actual report): - "The AP [newspaper article on the] report notes that the Secret Service admitted that it was aware of the security challenges the venue would pose and blames 'communications deficiencies' for the failure of the Secret Service and local police to stay on the same page."
- "The agency discovered that local police weren’t aware of two communication posts, and various agencies were communicating by different means, making interagency cooperation more complex than necessary."
- "Local police were relaying information via cell phones, while Secret Service personnel were using radios, complicating communication."
- “The failure of personnel to broadcast via radio the description of the assailant, or vital information received from local law enforcement regarding a suspicious individual on the roof of the AGR complex, to all federal personnel at the Butler site inhibited the collective awareness of all Secret Service personnel.”
Got that? "Communications deficiencies." "Two communication posts." "Cell phones" vs. "radios." "Failure of personnel to broadcast". Now: Whose job was it to be in charge of the security there? SS. Whose job was it to keep lines of communication open? SS. But the language is all about obfuscating the obvious.

More details on Israel's pager attack on Hezbollah: Israel’s Supply Chain Hack: Manufactured, Not Altered. This article quotes the Daily Wire, which in turn quotes the New York Times. Wait--the Times might have told the truth? Who knew. Per the Times, "12 current and former defense and intelligence officials who were briefed on the attack say the Israelis were behind it." Cue those people for wanting to look cool and powerful for being in the know. Israel still has said nothing. Bottom line: "Israel had put into motion a plan to establish a shell company that would pose as an international pager producer." They had some real clients, but the whole goal was to get terrorist groups targeted via "specialized" equipment.

Reply to vxbush in 3: I would make the argument and it would be fun to bring suit that decision made by the Biden White House are illegitimate because Biden is not making them and unelected citizen with no official capacity is. I would add as evidence her own post, Prepping for the G7.

Reply to vxbush in 3: Joe Biden has only met with his cabinet once this year, but he talks to his bureau every morning.

I would add as evidence her own post, Prepping for the G7. I remember when that got shared online by people pointing out the shocking realization that SHE was prepping, not Joe. But you would need more concrete proof before you could file a case, methinks.

Yet another continuing resolution has been agreed to fund the government until December 20, when yet again there will be be another, and another, and no budget will be passed yet again since 2008.

Reply to vxbush in 9: Oh, don't get me started on the congressional criminal malfeasance with the budgeting. I was driving the son to work and listen to the headlines and they mentioned the CR and I went off.... kid asks me if I'm okay..... You know the "you had one job" meme.... if congress has "one job" the budget is it. Congress couldn't budget buying Costco hotdog.

Life is just Hezbollah buried Oh, how they weary us It's not mysterious You can try to be peaceful as can be But you can't live in peace next to jihadis They'll keep you all harassed and harried Unless you kill them all It's not the course of action we'd rather choose But it's preferable to being the people who lose Life is just Hezbollah buried A better life for us all! ---apologies to "Life is Just a Bowl of Cherries"

I was just at the fish counter at the grocery store, and it dawned on me that if I wanted, I could put together a Gershwin-inspired mixed grill: Porgy & Bass. (Really.)
