It’s a start.  No prominent American politician has dared even mention the idea of population transfer before, regarding the Palestinians. And it is likely the only thing that has a chance of working.

It is really the only soluion. Note that transfer of population after a war only became illegal in time for it to apply to Israel. Approximately 650,000 Arabs fled Israel; 850,000 Jews were expelled from Arab lands. IIRC, transferring the Arabs to the countries that expelled Jews was proposed, and the US gave money to the Arabs to take them, but they never did, as the refugees could be used as a weapon against Israel.

The proper solution is for all the Arab countries to take Arabs in proportion to the Jews they expelled. Refugees who accept this get to choose (with a lottery system if a country is too much in desire) and then the rest end up in places like Syria.

Because Jews would not be welcomed in countries that expelled them even if they wanted to go back.

Also, this means somewhat over half Israelis have roots in the Mideast, showing the "settler colonial" charge to be a myth.

After WWII, ethnic Germans were expelled from Czhechoslovakia (SP?) and millions transferred between India and Pakistan.

Funny, ain't it?  The media didn't mind when the Biden Administration spent tens---hundreds, indeed, thousands---of millions it did not have; they didn't utter a peep in reproof.

Comes now the Trump Administration, which refuses to spend the money that it doesn't have, and the media are going off their individual and collective nuts.
