Sorry, gang. The small fire turned into a long-standing fire that took hours to finally resolve.

Let’s hit the news, shall we?

This is buried in a story about the use of Guantanamo for housing illegal aliens about to be deported, but it’s noteworthy if you missed it, like I did:

According to the Department of Homeland Security on March 2, ‘In a single month under [President] Trump and [Secretary ] Noem, we’ve arrested more than 20,000 illegal aliens. That’s an astounding 627% increase over the previous administration. We’re delivering on the President’s promise to the American people to carry out mass deportations, starting with the worst of the worst first.’ “

I share that because we know thousands of people were crossing the borders daily. I’m guessing that figure of 20,000 arrests in February is probably going to continue for a while, and I expect the media to get all upset and in the administration’s face about it and claim some nonsense about a human crisis. Be looking out for this.

If you needed any more assurances that Chuck Schumer wasn’t’ the brightest bulb in the candelabra, this article puts that to rest.

Closing down government? Oh no! That’s…. just what we want. Go ahead!

Wow. Biden really is a piece of work, isn’t he? From a new tell-all book about Kamala’s campaign:

[Kamala Harris] could risk looking hypocritical by making clean breaks with Biden on policies she had supported as vice president, rejecting parts of their record to forge her own agenda. She could identify new issues to run on that avoided the pitfalls of turning her back on the Biden era. Or she could rely on voters to see her gender, her genes, and her “lived experience” — a middle-class upbringing, schools outside the Ivy League, and a career as a prosecutor — as symbols of change.

Biden and his loyalists took the first option off the table.

He would say publicly that Harris should do what she must to win. But privately, including in conversations with her, he repeated an admonition: let there be no daylight between us. “No daylight” was the phrase he had used as a vice presidential candidate in 2008 to bind Republican nominee John McCain to an unpopular president, George W. Bush.

And, as I expected, Schumer had to cave—because of course he did.

Schumky has flopped the flip, after (R)s started calling it the Schumer Shutdown.

I don’t think Democrat X minders realize how bad it looks when a dying congressman’s X account is tweeting like mad

Honest question: If a state is getting money from the federal government to manage Medicaid and Medicare benefits, does the federal government have any way to claw back money that is poorly spent—such as California’s fund spent on illegal aliens

Two lunar missions, both failures because of problems with the altimeter. Perhaps you should focus on fixing that? Landing in a crater with regolith dust on the solar panels and on the probe’s side are not optimal solutions.

Because that was an accurate term. Doesn’t he have anyone in policy positions in his office that can help him avoid stupid moves like this? I’m guessing not, based on the cheeseburger grill failure of last year.

What’s the problem the can vote so what’s the problem with tweeting? Maybe it’s like the bell they used to set up in cause someone wasn’t really dead. He’s tweeting he should be dug up just to make sure.

She was merely doing in-depth human rights research.
