I'm also rather fascinated by how photographers then turned to creating images of fairies and sprites in the early 20th century and helped fuel belief in the supernatural. Do you know any books on the histories of these?

I guess I shouldn't be happy about this, but something about the following sentence just make me smile inside:

Right now, the Democratic Party is a dumpster fire that was bashed with a bat, drenched in battery acid, pushed off a cliff, and tossed into a volcano.

Alas, the author has a good point; just because the current group of people labeled Democrats are hovering at 7% very positive view by the public, it doesn't mean the Democrats will go away. It means they will morph and change yet again. The author thinks Bernie Sanders and AOC are going to lead the new version of the Democrat party, and he presents some reasonable evidence.

My problem with his analysis is that you can't build a meaningful party on such a small group of people unless you have gobs and gobs of money and power. The power is going away because the media is a dumpster fire. The money is about to leave because the government isn't going to be directed all its money to Democrat organizations.

I don't know how many are aware of some of the latest DOGE reveals, but this one is a doozy:

One quote from this article (which references the previous tweet posted above) has a great line in it:

"If Trump is determined to 'run a lawless administration,' why would he have created DOGE? Would the bank robber call the cops ahead of time to tell them where and when his next holdup will occur so they can be on the scene when it goes down?"

The problem is the radical fringe is a small minority, on the current trajectory the Dems are going to become a third party with a more mainstream left of center party taking over.

Sadly, I can think of no books to recommend; what knowledge I possess in this area comes more from my years of total immersion in the art world.
