JCM didn't make the daily thread, so you're going to get chocolate for breakfast and you're going to like it.

The state of Washington has decided that minorities need help putting together a down payments on houses, but of course whites would never need this. How much is a down payment in the state? $120,000.

Reply to vxbush in 5: Reply to vxbush in 6: The WA Legislature is out of control this year. Tax increases everywhere, no budget restraint. What not on the list is the lifting of lid on property tax increases and property levy tax lid lift. Property taxes will know skyrocket. The also passed a rent control bill which is increase the cost of housing. The last on in that list is particularly pernicious. Everyone will have to file a tax report on assets held the tax will be on those assets.

Reply to vxbush in 7: Not really but it is a Mexican infrastructure problem. Poor water and sanitation systems. No easy or cheap fix. Especially with the levels of corruption in Mexico.

There needs to be some kind of campaign to send tea bags to both chambers from everyone possible to get them realize what they are doing in their attempts to emulate and exceed California.

Reply to vxbush in 12: Sideshow Bob the new governor declared in his inaugural speech he would veto this type of thing. I doubt it. He used weasel words. But let me start by stating that the era of assuming unrealistic growth in revenue is over. To be specific, I will not sign a budget that requires unrealistic revenue growth to balance. Moreover, I will veto policy bills that defer major spending obligations more than 4 years after the legislation is adopted. These bills violate the spirit of Washington’s requirement that state budgets be balanced over a 4-year period. This budget is perfectly reasonsable.

China’s billion-dollar footprint near Florida coast poses US national security risk, expert warns "The People's Republic of China has been making diplomatic, economic and even military and quasi-military inroads into the Caribbean, South and Central America for the past couple of decades," retired Rear Adm. Peter Brown, former Homeland Security advisor to President Donald Trump, told Fox News Digital. Brown pointed to the rise in dual-use infrastructure projects along the Bahamas coastline, which is located just 50 miles off the coast of Florida. We don' need no stinkin' Monroe Doctrine.
