Reply to vxbush in 2: My boys were playing online with some friends. The friends know I’m a nerd and ask questions. One asks how I know CNN lies. I had them provide a headline and I showed the the facts, the spin and the lies in the story. After I fisked two more stories they were beginning to understand. I good evenings work.

I started realizing a few weeks ago that the various logical fallacies that used to be taught in a beginning philosophy course are not only not taught but are actively used to indoctrinate higher educations students. We could do a lot of good in teaching these argument styles and how to refute them.
