In yesterday's #9 Occasional Reader said: So you know that classic dream where you are back in college and are supposed to take a test that you’re not ready for? Early this morning I had kind of the inverse of that. I dreamt that I was a substitute teacher in a high school, and I’m supposed to teach a lesson in history but I don’t know what the lesson plan is. The especially weird thing was the people in the class consisted in part of people I supervise in my workplace; and in part, the “sweathogs“ from “welcome back, Kotter”. What does it mean, Dr. Freud? I don't know what Dr. Freud would say, but I do know a significant number of psychologists today would pin all the fault on the white man. |

Reply to vxbush in 6: Note this, which I also found odd: Mere hours after Trump sued the Wall Street Journal for falsely claiming he sent Jeffrey Epstein a birthday cartoon, Barack Obama’s office responded to Trump’s Oval Office treason accusation by calling it… a “distraction.” Not defamation. Not libel. Not even baseless. Just a distraction. “Distraction” is a bizarre word to choose when a sitting president has just accused you of the most serious crime in the Constitution, on camera, from the Oval Office, with foreign heads of state watching and evidence allegedly in hand. Where’s the angry denial? The threats of legal action? The righteous fury? You’d expect Obama’s office —following Trump’s example, a perfect setup— to unload both barrels, to drop the full weight of prestige, moral clarity, and legal firepower. But nope. Instead, we got Obama spokesweasel Patrick Rodenbush blinking in the sunlight and muttering something about a distraction. How oddly underwhelming.

If any of your “progressive” acquaintances accused Trump of being the enemy of everything “green “, remind them that thanks to him, the Fordow and Natanz facilities have switched to much more environmentally-friendly open-air ventilation systems.

Heh. Nice. Have you seen that some experts are claiming that those facilities were not as badly damaged as the Trump administration claimed?

Reply to vxbush in 9: i see a lot of "intelligence" sources claiming that. Remember the intelligence community doesn't have much love for Trump. Nobody know for certain. I suspect Mossad will get the first most accurate data out of Iran. Mossad has Iran well penetrated. We know the GBU-57 MOP was on target, and some got dropped down the same hole as the previous MOP. The access tunnels and the centrifuges halls would have been the targets. Assume major collapse of the access tunnels and time to reopen before they can get in do anything. The centrifuges are delicate machines. The shock damage alone would put many of the out of commission.
Was there no or minimal damage? Not likely. Was there complete destruction? Not likely. Somewhere in the middle, toward more damage. It will take awhile before the facilities are in the enrichment business significantly. The strike buys time. My estimate is at least a few years.
