Ireland wants the UN to throw out the US and Israel

GREAT IDEA - let that be brought up before the UNSC, US abstains, and when it passes - NO US money to the UN; UN staff lose visas, Iran and other countries that do not have relations with the US lose their diplomatic immunity.

Ireland can pay to move the UN there.

Spanish PM Pedro Sanchez seems to wish Spain had nuclear weapons… so he could use them on Israel.

Horrible.

and I still haven’t seen any clarification of why the Mexican consulate felt the urge to send out a warning about this.

Let's have some fun at the expenses of the ACLU.

ACLU Responds to Trump Administration Move Censoring Jimmy Kimmel

Christopher Anders, director of the Democracy and Technology Division at the American Civil Liberties Union, said:

“Jimmy Kimmel is the latest target of the Trump administration’s unconstitutional plan to silence its critics and control what the American people watch and read..."

It wasn't Trump it was the owners of the station and program Nexstar Media Group. Where was ACLU when Trump was banned on Twitter? Where were they when the Standford virologists questioned COVID and got banned on YouTube, Facebook etc...

ACLU has forgetten what the First Amendment does and displays their blatant hypocrisy.

Or the Spanish Inquisition. I suggest he take all the "Palestinians" and turn Spain back into Muslim Andalusia.

Every single  word in the bame of the  ACLU is misleading.

The ACLU is no longer the free speech absolutists they were back years ago when they supported Nazis marching in Skokie, iirc.

Today, they probably wouldn't support the Nazis but would support Hamas supporters, who are more numerous and more threatening to Jews.

That interstellar object 3I/Atlas is in the plane of of our Solar System orbits, but that plane is close to perpendicular to the galactic plane, which means that an interstellar object would have to have a strange trajectory from likely sources in the galaxy. Not impossible, but unlikely.

Cool Intergalactic visitors! I love all the headlines that the trajectory can "only" be controlled by an intelligence.

They bring a book; "To Serve Man".

To bad we don't have the tech to quickly assembly a probe and the drive systems to check it out.

It is actually going to be close enough to some existing probes to get better pictures and data.

Although we can't currently send a probe to invstigate it close-up

I am amazed how much can be learned from spectroscopy and other EM analysis. Probes we have out there are heavy on that type of instrumentation. As cool as pictures are, visible light gives us limited information.

Spectra, both atomic and molecular, give us a lot of information about the materials present.

Visible light is a tiny part of the EM spectrum

I got to play with spectroscopy in my Qualitative Chemistry course. We given unknow samples and cut loose in the lab to figure it what it was. Spectrographs were part of the equipment we had access to use.
Fun class.

Giant airbags like the Hindenberg? It would take ones that big. And fuel tanks that don't leak onto hot engines or the bags burn up.
