So the MVC platform this blog was written in is obsolete, and I am trying to find a way to use the newer versions.

But the identity stuff - login, etc, seems to now require using Microsoft services.

Not what I want to do - want everything local. Blog-based database. Major PITA to migrate everything.

If I have to redo everything, it WON'T be with MicroShaft

I just need to work on the blog more. Too many changes in the packages it uses, and the pages that help are also out of date.

Well, Massachusetts has a movie studio (on what used to be Fort Devens), so the "talent" probably needs a lot of cocaine, as they do in Hollywood.

But Springfield is a bit distant - IIRC at least an hour away from Devens.
