Looks like a nice breakfast - but no one has touched it yet.

In regards to your query yesterday morning about open registration versus invitation only, I definitely have an opinion.  Please leave registration open.  You stated you have the ability to "ban" users and remove all the their comments.  Offensive commenters don't have to be tolerated.  I realize that requires "policing" the comments, but I'm sure you'd have qualified volunteers to help you.  The invitation only method can limit the range of opinions.  Like I said before, I came here to be educated, not just lectured.  Sometimes a different point of view can help.  It will either reinforce what you believe or give you the opportunity to revaluate you own opinions.  My two cents.

No one has yet suggested turning open registration off yet, at least at first.

And until I fix a few problems, I won't have anyone helping, but that should change before I get a real URL.

Note there are several levels of member:

Guest - can post in public forums

Member - can access and post in private forums, too.

Editor - can hide posts, create threads, etc.

Admin - can create and edit users.

If I go with open registration, I will have the new users start as guest.

Reply to Kosh's Shadow in 3:   Sounds fair.  I just know there were times I would have liked to register to comment on CC2, but couldn't.  No one knew me to invite me.  I have people in my real life very much like RW & PI and it broke my heart not to be able to reach out to them.  Thanks for this opportunity now.

Tomorrow is our federal election. I am at the stage of "a pox on all their houses". None of the blighters deserve to govern in my opinion.
