I'm about ready to give up on my brunch cooking this morning. I've already fucked up about five times. My brain just isn't functioning this morning. But I am going to make it happen, by God.

Reply to doppelganglander in 4: Eggs Omar. I was going to make eggs Benedict but discovered I had no canadian bacon. I did, though, have a bit of leftover steak that I needed to use up. I eventually pulled it off but everything went wrong. For example: to make the sauce Bernaisse you begin by simmering shallots in vinegar. I had accidentally thrown out my last shallot while I tidied up the kitchen. So I had to dig it out. Finished simmering, strained the reduced liquid into a bowl to let cool while I separated the eggs. Then I went to feed the cat and absent-mindedly dumped her wet food into the bowl with the vinegar. So throw out both, dig the shallots out of the trash a second time (luckily they had fallen on a paper towel, and go through the whole operation again. Meanwhile I broke one of the yolks separating the egg. And on, and on, and on.

Today’s bit of historical trivia Battle Ground Washington. “Battle Ground got its name from a standoff between a group of the Klickitatpeoples and a military force from the Vancouver Barracks, which had recently transitioned to a U.S. Army post.[7][8] In 1855, when this occurred, the Klickitat peoples had been imprisoned at the Vancouver Barracks. The hostile conditions of their detainment inspired some of the Klickitats to decamp.” https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_Ground,_Washington
Thus began the long and devastating “klick at that” or “click bait” wars of the early twenty first century.

Play date at the playground is done, now we are at music class for little guy, then on to a bookstore where they’re doing a benefit for his old daycare, then he goes home with mom, he takes a nap, she takes a nap, I go home eat lunch and take a nap.

Last night, I fixed it so create post doesn't add an empty post. Today, added strikethrough, subscript, superscript to the editor. Also want to add blockquote. Next, fix it so anyone who forgot to complete setting up the profile can do so. These changes will be pushed tonight or tomorrow.
