LOL! Several of them stayed in town to speak to various groups this morning. The clown car is rolling through black institutions all over town. Tom Steyer, who's been buying a lot of time on the local news, wants to force communities to build affordable housing. (Not in his backyard, of course.) Julian Castro wasn't even in the debate but he came anyway. Pete Buttigieg has the nerve to show up at Morehouse (historically black men's college), where I hope he'll explain his fake Kenyan supporters in South Carolina.

NPR this morning; OMG Syracuse U students of color were threatened by white nationalist manifesto posting!!!!!

Syracuse U (yesterday): Report of white manifesto posting was likely a hoax.

And by the way, NPR this morning also approvingly noted that SU/SJW students worked up over that hoax (and other alleged "racial incidents")  had occupied campus buildings and presented demands... delicately forgetting to note that one of those demands is racially-segregated housing.

Yeah, that's a bit murky. If I'm interpreting it correctly, it looks like he has investments with them. Now that provides a possible conflict of interest, but it could be something that is managed by an investment broker on his behalf. But then maybe it would be listed slightly differently. I don't know.

Oh, I have an update on the heat situation in my lab.....

The director who was in charge of our move to a new building made it very clear in a meeting that all the paperwork says there is heat and that workers are going to see why there isn't heat now. Said director was very unhappy that we were told there was no heat available to that room. I have a feeling that some reprimands may be coming down the pipe to some folks.
