Reply to Syrah in 1: Me, I slept in until 9:30, and it was wonderful.

Reply to Occasional Reader in 2: Sleeping in is nice. Alarm clocks are necessary for work. I just wish they wouldn’t do so much damage to the plaster when I throw them against the wall.

Reply to Occasional Reader in 2: 9:00 here, which frankly was too late. I always feel that sleeping in ends up leading to wasting the day.

Feldman says that the impeachment is not an “impeachment” until it is delivered to the Senate. Turley says that a formal delivery is not necessary. Are we having fun yet?

On board a surprisingly crowded Acela, DC- bound. Surprising especially because Penn Station wasn’t crowded.... surprisingly.

I don't see the constitutional basis for this "delivery" requirement.

Reply to Occasional Reader in 7: Maybe a lot of people from Boston going to DC? After all, the train starts in Boston, and stops in Providence, New Haven, and some other places.

Apparently. But it puzzles me why people choose Acela to go Boston to DC. A long trip, not cheap; air seems a lot more efficient for that distance.

Much more pleasant than taking the plane - lo TSA, no squishing into small seats, etc. When my wife was sworn to practice at the Supreme Court, we took the train. Longer time, but more relaxing.
