Good morning.  For some reason I woke up with Blondie "Rapture" playing in my head.

Maybe you're being warned of the immediate removal of all Christians from the planet?

Morning, campers. So glad it's a bit warmer today.

Morning off today, so spent some time trying an experiment. Picked up a spring loaded BB gun fairly cheap. Figured it would be good training tool for me and the wife. Since it's spring loaded shorter ranged and less chance of over penatration. Set up a coffee can with the open end papered over with a target and hung it from the bedroom door hallway side. Pulled out my safety glasses and started plinking.

Going to need to rework a few things. Let me just say that wearing the safety glasses was a good idea. As a training tool though, it is working. Just have to figure out if the hit placement is me or the tool.

Global Warming
More white fluffy global warming. Enough so schools are closed. Which means around an inch or so.

Good to know. Still good practice until I can get into a proper range. Figure a little over a month now before that can happen.

With the son at home, I'd like a virtual version that works with the Wii or something similar.

Project Veritas video: Bernie Sanders field organizer promises riots, cities burning, if Sanders doesn't win; gulags, mass executions if he does.

SHOCKED!

I'm shocked a communist would advocate such things. I mean that is so out of character for communist regimes!

Wow. Obviously that plan exists nowhere other than Kyle's unmedicated fantasy world, but it's disturbing that he's a paid staffer. How many people are watching this and saying, "Right on, dude?"

Probably/hopefully.  Nevertheless, I'm going to be sure my friends Messrs. Mossberg, Ruger, Kimber and Sig-Sauer and clean and function-checked just prior to Election Night, just in case.

Reconstruction has to be mentioned in any conversation about race and racism in America!

In that case, so does Andrew Johnson's Erector set...

By the way, two idiocies on our local NPR affiliate this morning:

1) People are objecting because certain entities that receive city tax breaks, such as the Metropolitan Museum and the Museum of the City of New York, are not willing to open their facilities to be used as polling places, so the city has to rely on---gasp!---school buildings!

2) There is an initiative against the Transit Police for supposed "disproportionate" enforcement of anti-fare-beating efforts, because apparently more black and brown folks are being nabbed for fare-beating than white folks.

1) As lovely as it would be to cast one's ballot in the Temple of Dendur, it would be enormously disruptive to visitors and potentially endanger works of art.

2) Some people believe black and brown folks should never be arrested for anything, or if they must, an equal number of white people should be arrested, whether they're suspected of wrongdoing or not.
