So. Do I fly up for my quick Cape Cod college buddy reunion two weeks from tomorrow, or switch that to driving, or cancel entirely? That’s the question on my mind.

Reply to Occasional Reader in 1: I would go, and I'd probably fly. In addition to hand sanitizer, I would take a container of Clorox wipes and wipe down the tray table, armrests, and any other nonporous surface. You might check the airline's website to find out what, if anything, they're doing to control the spread of viruses. They should be cleaning the planes more frequently and sanitizing everything between flights, and the flight attendants should have cleaning supplies on hand as well. At least, that's what I'd do if I were running an airline. OTOH, if you're still not comfortable and you have the extra time, driving is an option. You know how clean your own car is.

Reply to Occasional Reader in 3: How did you find out about that insurance policy? Seriously, I don't think a domestic flight is high risk with the right precautions. Driving would be pretty low risk, I think, so if you're worried, you should drive.

You can't catch covid-19 from a blog. Or a pet. (Unless you have a pet pangolin especially if you got it from China recently)
