Good morning

The BF is being discharged this afternoon. All elective surgeries are canceled so he won't have the second one for 2-4 weeks. Meanwhile, as a high risk person, he has to self-quarantine, but he does that anyway.

Good for him. Really. Hubby went out to get groceries on Saturday as usual and couldn't get TP (although we're fine for the next week) and a few things that we normally get for the son. But we'll be fine for a week for certain. Work has gone completely off the deep end; my workload to help people work from home is insane, and it sounds like I won't be allowed to work from home despite my family situation. I am... concerned, but not worried.

Kids are on their computers doing virtual school. They do this once a month anyway, so it's nothing new. But it does mean that I have three kids all talking at their computers simultaneously.

Reply to midwestgak in 18: Why? I know a few jurisdiction who tried that. Didn't work. Job descriptions are too different. A someone who is deputized, MUST act in certain cases. That can interfere with patient care. Firefighters need to get information, and that info can fall under patient confidentiality, as sworn officer that info is part of the record.

My truck is in the shop. My customers are hiding under the beds at home so the phone is very violently sitting there and not ringing,...(which is why I took the truck to the shop today.) nothing much to do but (yuck) clean house. the refrigerator is now as clean as when I bought it. Moving to the next item.

Will the Pub be open tonight? IL gov. Pritzker announced Sunday that all restaurants and bars Illinois will be closed effective end of business today through March 30. Drive-thru, home deliveries and curbside pickup are allowed to continue. There's a pandemic doncha know. "I cannot let the gravity of the choices prevent us from taking the actions that the science and experts say will keep people safe." - - JB Pritzker

End of day 1 working from home. Desk crowded with computer and 2 24 inch monitors. Courts closed as well, at least for a few days. Wife did have to visit client in prison. I have to get dog medicine for our 15 year old dog with heart condition.

When Trump said “August”, the market dropped another 500 points. i think that the market may drop a bit more, but it might also be time to start thinking about dollar cost averaging into the market with everything now on fire sale. There is no way to know when a bottom is reached until after enough time passes that we can look back and say, “oh, that was the bottom.” by buying in small chunks, you can average a buy in over a range and be in place to take advantage of the market returning to sanity, that is, unless Bernie becomes president and we have fight over zoo animal meat.
