Reply to buzzsawmonkey in 3: Funny, I haven't heard much about the spread of Coronavirus in the Islamic world. Hajj begins July 28th. It might be less prevalent by then, but can you imagine if it's not? And imagine if the Saudis cancel the whole thing - they should, but who knows.

Virginia Governor raises cost of energy… when Virginians can least afford it
GOV. NORTHAM RAISES ENERGY COSTS AS HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS ARE OUT OF WORK APRIL 22, 2020 By Tim Benson, Aaron D. Stover If there ever was a time not to enact policies that would cost families, it would be in the midst of an economy-killing global pandemic. With coronavirus rampaging throughout Virginia, effectively closing the commonwealth’s economy and pushing 306,000 people out of work in three weeks, Gov. Ralph Northam has picked a terrible time to sign into law a group of regressive “clean energy” policies that will harm the roughly 870,000 Virginians who live in poverty by increasing their energy costs. The first of these policies, the Virginia Clean Economy Act, establishes a renewable energy mandate forcing state utilities to produce 14 percent of their electricity generated from “renewable” sources in 2021, gradually increasing the mandate to 100 percent by 2050.

Reply to Occasional Reader in 7: Northam and progressives et. al. know exactly the repercussions of such laws. It's straight out of the Cloward-Piven strategy. Increase the financial stress on the lower income brackets, push them onto various public services, that breaks the budget and validates (in their mind) the argument for more socialism.

Can I get free needles at the exchange so I can inject myself with the cocktail of bleach, hydrogen peroxide, rubbing alcohol, and fish tank cleaner while I sit under the UV lamp? Trump told me to do that so I have to because I have no free will.

I hope everyone knows about Michigan Democrat Representative Karen Whitsett, who took part in the COVID survivor panel at the White House on April 14. She was thanking Trump for his work in talking about hydroxychloroquine. Well, that is simply Not Allowed per the Democrat party. Per the Last Refuge:

Continuing: MICHIGAN – Detroit Democrats plan to vote Saturday to censure and bar any future endorsements of a Democratic lawmaker who credited President Donald Trump with advocating for the drug that she said cured her of COVID-19. State Rep. Karen Whitsett, D-Detroit, broke protocol by meeting with President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence during an April 14 meeting of COVID-19 survivors, during which she credited hydroxychloroquine for saving her life.
“Thank you for everything that you have done,” Whitsett told Trump at the meeting. “I did not know that saying thank you had a political line. … I’m telling my story and my truth, and this how I feel and these are my words.” […] The admonition means she will not get the group’s endorsement for this year nor will she be able to engage in the group’s activities for the next two election cycles. “At the end of the day, we have political systems,” said Jonathan Kinloch, chairman of the organization. “We have political parties, and political parties exist for a reason.”
“They do not belong to themselves,” Kinloch said of endorsed candidates and elected officials. “They belong to the members and precinct delegates of the Democratic Party.” (more)

Reply to vxbush in 13: So, once you decide to run under the Democrat umbrella in Michigan, you lose all freedoms to speak your own mind. You must adhere to the Democrat party line no matter what and no matter what level of government you operate at. So much for the umbrella of the party. Change the metaphor to chains.

That's the second video in three days that YouTube has removed, that I've watched. The first was that "Coronavirus rules" video I posted on Wednesday. I don't know if you had a chance to see it, but it was hilarious; and not only did my reasonably-conservative sister laugh at it, but her flaming-Left high-school friend did too. Yet it "went private" in short order.
