First, use the Register link at the top right to create your account. That is a two-step process.

First you give your username and password, then more information.

Then you complete the process.

Then log in.

For now, use the threads listed in the main part of the page. Those links work.

Note that you can hide your own posts, but once hidden, I haven't written the code  to get them back.

Also, there are several "roles":

Member - we are all members. That is needed to post

Admin - can create, hide, and edit users.

Editor - can hide posts and create threads

The ability to edit posts is planned, but doesn't work yet, so there is no easy to find link to do so.

I do want to have more admins and editors. Currently, since JCM posts the daytime posts, I will make him an editor once he shows up.

I have been asked about avatars. Right now, there is no way to change yours, Mine was coded specially in the code that sets up the first user.

I did look up how to upload images, but I wanted to get the blog working first.

To change your password, click on the "Hello yourname!" near the top right. That brings up the screen that controls your login info.

All other information can be changed by clicking Users in the top middle, and then Edit by your user info.

Creating threads is a two-step process.

First, go to the Forums page at the top.

Then, click Create Thread in the line for the forum you want.

Give it a title, and set visibility if it is a private thread.

TO SCHEDULE the post, change the Posting Time. Note that currently all times are Pacific time. I have to fix that sometime.

Click Create. You will set up the first post in the next page.

This brings you to the create post page, where you set up the initial post. It is done the same way as comments. Use the picture button to add a picture, but please resize it (click on the picture and drag a corner).

Then click on Create on that page to post it.

Note the main page will show -1 comments for threads without a main post. Some of this is still pretty crude.

Also, on the main page for each forum is a link at the top to show or hide scheduled posts (for those who can create threads)

Show scheduled threads to be sure you aren't posting another thread at the same time, then create the new one.
